Ecstasy and Numbing of the Hands
Whenever SWIM takes ecstasy (whether its pill or pure MDMA) his finger tips go numb and he seems to not be able to move properly (not severely just struggling with balance and general movement). This also happens with ampetamines and with this cube of 'acid' he bought which he has narrowed it down to a 2C-X, probably 2C-T7.
He has assumed that it is a circulation problem and has since decided to lay off the stimulants. Would he be correct with this statement? |

Re: Ecstasy and Numbing of the Hands
Swim would say your absolutely right to quit the stimulants. It sounds like your heart is not able to pump the blood efficiently enough for some reason.. have you thought about getting a full cardiac workup done? Just tell the doc that you keep having issues with your hands going numb.

Re: Ecstasy and Numbing of the Hands
OK so SWIM asked the doctor at one of his regular appointments. I feel like I can add more details this time.
When SWIM gets particularly cold (very rarely he doesn't have to feel that cold) the tips of his fingers slowly start to go numb and his hands turn slightly white. Now he knows this sounds like Raynaud's syndrome (or disease) but he is very positive it isn't that (due to frequency and lack of symptoms). Anyway when he asked the doctor (mentioning past ecstasy use and the symptoms that came with), she said that its probably a minor circulation problem with nothing to worry about, and to keep hands wrapped up when it gets cold. To the point...He really wants to experiment with various phenethylamines but is worried that he will not be able to enjoy them due to the problems presented here. Mescaline is a key worry as he has been dying to try this one for a long time now and he feels the time is coming. He was once sold 'acid' that turned out to be a phenethylamine (probably 2c-t7) and he experienced minor symptoms (slight loss of motor functions) that were slightly distracting. I think SWIM's worries are clear now and he is looking for some real advice on what he needs to be careful of. He is missing MDMA and amphetamine and has accepted they should be stayed clear of, but what else? Last edited by porchy; 01-08-2009 at 20:14. Reason: change of some words |

Re: Ecstasy and Numbing of the Hands
I just had a thought...
Have you had your blood pressure checked? SWIY could have high/low blood pressure. If the doctor thought its minor, swiy should be ok, but I am no doctor and i know swim has had to stop all stims because she now has HBP and a heart condition. She has to be careful even with non stims as they can cause an abnormal heart rythym. the other thing I was thinking is could it be anxiety related? Swims friend sometimes gets extreme panic attacks on ecstacy where her hands cramp up into claw like positions and she has trouble moving them. One more thing - ecstacy/stims has been theorized to cause slight to severe parkinsonism symptoms in some people. That is caused by something to do with dopamine, cant remember exactly what if its too low or too high.. i wonder could this be whats happening with swim? |

Quote:
About a 2 years ago SWIM suffered a (massive) overdose of valium/MDMA. He was in a bad state and was send to ressus' and ICU for 4 hours in total. He cant remember exactly, but thinks that this started after then. It was a while until he took MDMA again after then. He cant remember the last time he took it and enjoyed it. Will update soon, but in the meantime Im happy for any more advice! |

Re: Ecstasy and Numbing of the Hands
Constriction of the blood vessels. By different mechanisms, both MDMA, and the ups cause this. May sound stupid, but Swiy should try the following IN ORDER.
1. Obtain samples of a rather MILD stim do a test confirm it makes your hands cold. 2: Get some water melon (google it if you think I'm crazy and figure it out lol )3:the water melon is a natural source of a chemical that dialates the vessels. Thats why its so good for sex LOL 4. Do the minimum amount it would normally take to cause a 'high' and see if u have the issues. Alternatively, and this WILL work, viagra, same effect, but SWIM would suggest caution in mixing matching, and do some research ![]() Note any difference TOOmuchSEX added 0 Minutes and 19 Seconds later... Thats my guess, what did i win? Last edited by TOOmuchSEX; 02-08-2009 at 09:01. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Re: Ecstasy and Numbing of the Hands
SWIM noticed this too when he first did MDMA but with more time (and alot more rolls) he noticed that he didnt experience this as much, he thought that it was because he was slightly dissociated, that may sound odd, as MDMA does not have a reputation for being particularly psychedelic or dissociative, but Swim found that when used with cannabis it became both for him, and he experienced this on mescaline, 2C-I, LSD, DMT and mushrooms, which made him think that it was not necessairly caused by some physiological condtion but a psychological one.

Re: Ecstasy and Numbing of the Hands
My friend told me this story and she also has some questions, so I though I'd pass this along for her:
I've noticed on HIGH doses of stims , i've experienced numbness at times, or its easier to have things fall asleep. I don't know if this relates , but I remember when I IV'd some VERY strong, VERY pure molly, while also on about 3 hits of good 'lsd, and 200ish mgs of adderall , the vein, and the general area where I shot up in, was COMPLETELY numb. I'm not sure if there was some sort of cut in the molly , but I know I didn't miss as well. It continued to be numb for a few days, and made me worry. My personal diagnosis is that there was too much power flowing through my body. I can firmly say that IV molly was one of the most intense drug experiences i've ever had in my life. As I was pushing the plunger down, all sounds just started to distort and scream, and my vision got torn in two. WHITE LIGHT EXPERIENCE! :P Most likely a blood flow problem? You smoke cigarettes? My friend apppreciates an advice, and say thanks in advance. -lenses Last edited by Ilsa; 03-09-2009 at 11:08. Reason: self incrimination, slang |

Re: Ecstasy and Numbing of the Hands
the numbness you feel in your finger tips is part of the body high MDMA/Ecstasy gives you... It is because the amphetanies in the pill interfers with your nervous system. Your finger tips are full of little nervous circuit and therefore your finger tip is the more suceptible part of your body to have an intense body high...
The numbness of finger tips is by far one of the favorite effects of Ecstasy for swim. He LOVES it |
