Combinations - Kava kava + benzo (diazepam)

Well, SWIM just had a bad panic attack and took his 15mgs of diazepam (retarded doctor who prescribes diazepam for panic attacks, I know, but it's beside the point). SWIM needs 10-15mgs of this stuff to fight off a panic attack or they do naught, usually SWIM only uses it once a week/forthnight so there's no tolerance involved.

Anyway, the question is, can SWIM safely consume some kava-kava now? SWIM had already prepared some before the panic attack because he felt anxious, and since he's still jittery and out of it (1.5 hours or so since the diazepam was ingested) SWIM wondered if drinking 4-5 tbsp of powdered root would harm him?

Any experiences?

Well for those of you wondering, SWIM didn't die, in fact he has done it again just today.

The kava mellowed out the lingering anxiety and helped me sleep, I noticed no ill effects and I'm probably going to do this again when it's needed.
