Drug info - Diphenhydramine basics

SWIM's friend is determined to try this. SWIM has tried convincing him to not do deleriants, but the friend is determined. So SWIM needs some basic info to give to his friend, because if he can't abstain from deleriants (which SWIM thinks are dangerous and not recreational), SWIM would at least that the friend knows some basics like doses and how long it lasts. SWIM's friend is planning on buying Benadryl 25mgs. How much should he take to experience the effects, but not too hard and how long should he expect it to last? Also, what are some things SWIM should know as a sitter?

SWIM already checked out Erowid and it says 25-150 for light and 300 for common, so which should SWIM tell his friend? There is not much more on Erowid like what the tripper will feel and if a sitter will be even able to talk to them, etc.

I would advise that your friend starts out with 100mg and redoses 50mg every 30 minutes until the desired effects are reached maxing out at around 500mg, go no higher for your first attempt.

for a first timer, around 200mg should do. This will give exactly what swiy is looking for. As for the sitter issue, for swim it wasn't needed. He would just lay there, drifting in and out of reality. But depth perception is severely impaired. plus swim's found that being alone and lying there produced the most profound effects.

Alright, thanks for the info. SWIM won't babysit but will stay in his friend's house just in case. How long will it last?

Update: Friend did 300 mgs, was fine, somewhat enjoyed trip but says he was too freaked out at some points (he has minor arachnophobia and SWIM forgot to tell him about spiders).

read the diphenhydramine experiences thread. It will give a vivid idea of what to expect. There are many many things about the diphenhydramine trip which can be construed as unpleasant and it takes a special kind of person to get anything positive out of the experience.
