Experiences - Extra euphoria from alcohol the day after diazepam usage?

SWIM get's extra euphoria the day after diazepam(250mg, yes 250mg diazepam) when drinking alcohol.
SWIM wonders why this may be.

SWIM takes 50x5mg tablets of valium(250mg) one time once in ten days, gets comfortably numb and shit, but that's not the issue here.

SWIM thinks this is great, because he doesn't get much euphoria of valium alone, just being sedated, and numb for the world.
When he drinks the day after he get's euphoric with a lot of energy, this seems strange to him since both diazepam and alcohol is downers.

Anyone else gets simular experiences after beforementioned "routine"
