seeing a shrink in one month...

swim has recently had the misfortune of developing a debilitating anxiety disorder. a few months ago swim almost received carbon monoxide poisoning doing a poorly ventilated room. swim felt lethargic and stupid days after but rebounded and came back to the general consciousness he is so proud he developed. on thanksgiving swim had to have an apendectamy and the morphine/hydromorphone/percocet killed swims short term memory. but like the CO everything came back, swim was still swim.

2 months ago swim fell getting out of the shower and being anxious went to the ER where swim was told he had a concussion. swim felt like a neanderthal and went to a follow up with a neurologist who said swim got the wrong diagnosis and never suffered any kind of concussion. swim never snapped out of the state of mind and continues to assume he was brain damaged.

swim now has acute panic attacks whenever someone of something bumps his head. he is in a constand state of tension when he is in a situation where these conditions could become relavent and if he has a panic attack he gets incredibly depressed/angry for the rest of the day.

swim has parents that use lorazepam and swim as tried it before. swim for some reason would feel most comfortable taking diazepam as klonazepam has impotency side effects associated with it, lorazepam is apparantly the most addictive and swim felt trippy the last time he used it. swim is concerned that xanax isn't a long term solution and the efficiency at which it binds to gaba unnerves swim.

what are the chances he will get diazepam? if swim tells the doctor why he is uncomfortable taking a certain benzo would it be rare for the dr. to compromise? thank you
