How does SWIM secure it tightly into the bowl of a glass pipe?

SWIM never used the gold ones off the internet, but assumes they are the same as the ones found in sink heads (little metal netted screens).

SWIM would just cut a small square peice of the screen off, just enough to cover the hole & fit snuggly at the bottom of the bowl & it should work well.

I never thought about cutting it. But now I might try.

after a few smokes, some resin will accumulate, making it easier to secure the screen. swim personally prefers a glass screen, though.

Radiometer made quite a good point in that thread - "Putting a metal screen in a glass bowl is defeating the point of using glass in the first place".

Additionally glass screens outlive the metal ones by far and don't clog as easily. With regards to SWIYs current problem the glass ones seat into the bowl easily too!
