antipsychotics and dependence

I have been taking 1 mg of Risperidone before bed as prescribed by my psychiatrist since last August. My ability to sleep is dependent on my nightly dose, before taking the drug I had no problem falling asleep but as of now it its impossible to sleep without Risperidone. Soon I shall be coming off the drug, and will find this challenging. Have others had difficulty coming of antipsychotics? What has been your experiences?
