Hello I am new to the forum and am planning an evening with cactus in South Korea. However it's a tad hard to identify the species as I have never consumed and neither have any of my teacher friends. I think it looks good but any opinions are welcomed. The Cactus is about 16 inches in length with 8 ribs, and spines per cluster is between 8 and 12at this stage. Is this the good stuff or not. Thanks in advance for any help![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by: wormemc

probably a stenocerues of some sort. there is a site selling stenocerues claiming it has the desireable alkaloids - but would not put my $ on it that your cactus has active material.
