is this possible
swim and a friend were at the beach for a weekend, and at night they decided to start a fire on the beach... for the fire they used: newspaper, beachgrass, and wood... about 10 min. later they returned to their hotel, and started to feel odd, they could hardly walk, found everything funny, and swim threw up on himself... this lasted about an hour. on the return home they were told that some beach grasses comtain dmt, is it possible that they accidentaly (although gladly) experianced dmt?

Re: is this possible
I'd have to say no. Even the natural sources with the highest DMT content are nowhere near substantial enough to receive effects from inhaling the raw plant material. It requires an extraction to get the necessary amounts. Though SWIM has heard people claim to receive effects from smoking powdered MHRB, but even then the effects described are extremely mild and could easily be placebo. DMT also must reach the brain very fast, so even if the grass did have enough DMT to produce effects simply from burning it you would have to stand directly over and inhale like mad. And the effects felt by SWIY and friend are nothing like vaporized DMT.
Honestly, it sounds kinda like you inhaled a bit too much carbon monoxide. SWIM had a friend that was hospitalized by it once and he described similar things such as difficulty walking, finding things funny, and throwing up. SWIM's friend said it wasn't unpleasant at all lol. |
