Swim just had a mild Salvia trip. One big hit of 5x smoked in a pipe worked well.

SWIM has entered other places with 5x salvia and a pipe. SWIM thinks how big of a drag you take, and how much you pack will determine the intensity more than what extract or what SWIY is using to smoke it. Also SWIM thinks the experience is highly subjective and varies from experience to experience.

out of a bowl or some other kind of pipe would be much more milder than a fatass bong rip. And hold it for half the legth. Even different size bongs vary intensity.

Oral methods are good for more mild effects. SWIy may want to look into making a tincture or quid.

SWIM finds that 10X held in for 10-14 seconds is pretty mild to make it a bit stronger when your at about 6 seconds take another toke while still holding the first.

With a bong SWIM finds it hard to get a mild trip.

Actually, this is Lizard's favorite way to experience salvia. He says he uses the same 10X he always does; just packs a very small amt. in the bowl (like half a drag).

He says, if SWIY does this, s/he would do well to use it in a sensory-rich envrionment. The thing Lizard likes is how it amplifies his senses, so he feels the "orthodox" view about salvia use (quiet, dark room) doesn't apply here. There's a beautiful overlook in the woods near where he used to live, and he'd head out and take a drag during sunset.

Granted, though, the "quiet, dark room with a sitter" is safest until SWIY is certain about dose size/ingestion method.

(Lizard really is an odd duck this way...sometimes he thinks it'd be neat to do a small sublingual amt in, say, an art museum.)
