SWIM has been on K's for years now. Swim ordered some Xanax from a reliable source and found that they do nothing anymore. Similarly, SWIM can take 40mg of Valium and barely even feel them. SWIM's prescription is 2mg three times a day, but SWIM generally takes them for anxiety when he feels panic attack type feelings. SWIM also used to use them to go to sleep. Now, SWIM chewed up 14mg of K's and felt a little buzz for awhile, but no sleep. SWIM also drinks a few beers with them, when he wants to go to sleep. SWIM has a major problem sleeping, and nothing the doc has prescribed has worked yet. SWIM would just quit taking them for awhile, if it weren't for the panic attacks. SWIM is not sure what to do anymore. He's up until daylight, and then sleeps all day long when he's finally so exhausted he can no longer stay awake. Any advice?

Actually, when I said nothing has worked, that's incorrect. Plenty of other things knock me out (Serequel, Trazadone, etc.), but for far too long, and side effects are intolerable.
SWIM used to eat K's like candy, but took himself off of them when they seemed to have no effect anymore. That was a long time ago now though, and the dose was not max, as it is now.
