so swim has had his shot of dope blocked before by methadone, but heres the deal. yesterday at about 3:00PM swim took 6 of the 5mg tic-tac size methadones, now today swim bought some smack and tried not to do it for as long as possible... well knowing swim he couldnt take it anymore and decided to do the smack because it was driving him crazy. so swim booted it up at about 5:30PM (about 26.5 hours after consumption of methadone) and expected to be disapointed... but to his surprise swim got a really nice rush and is still high right now! swim just wanted to share this miracle success story with his fellow smack addicts

If SWIY is not on methadone daily it would likely not have had time to build up in SWIY's system so it would still be possible to feel the fine heroin effects.

SWIM finds that if he smokes after methadone, he is wrecked!! but SWIM usually has methadone in the morning and doesnt have a smoke til around 18.00pm when home from work. so maybe that time inbetween gives your receptors the break they need? but SWIM definatly has more effect this way rather than just doing gear alone. funny how people are effected in different ways ay?

MsMogadon is correct. Unless methadone is taken daily it will not affect the high from heroin.

Basically what has already been said. Methadone has a half-life of ~24 hours on average, so most if not all of the euphoric effects you get from other opiate agonists will be there.

SWIM finds methadone great taken after the euphoria of H/oxy/etc starts wearing off. Keeps SWIM from doing too much of any drug

Actually, mixing opiates and benzos is a good way to get oneself really low...like 6 feet below the ground low.

Really, not a good idea to be mixing these two...especially when one has no idea of how their body will react to either.

Methadone is not an opiate blocker, but someone who is on a daily maintenance dose of 80mg or higher may not feel the effects of heroin due to tolerance factor. Recreational use of Methadone however will have a protagonistic effect when combined with non-synthetic opiates such as heroin. SWIM does not recommend combining benzodiazepines such as Xanax with Methadone because of the possibility of overdose. A safer way that SWIY could increase the effect of Methadone is to combine it with moderate doses of Tagamet (Cimetidine),an OTC heartburn medication or Phenergan(Promethazine),a nausea medication by Rx only in this little fishies neck of the ocean. Doing this provides a much safer synergistic effect. Enjoy! I hope this helped.

I am on 100mgs of Methadone and have even skipped 3 days of methadone every morning, which still doesn't allow me to feel anything. I have tried this many times, even lowered my dose to 30mgs and waited 2 days and still nothing, also tried banging many bags at a time (up to 5) and still nothing. (its decent H, no doubt about it) Has anyone been in my position or figured out how to get around this. According to methadones half-life of 24hrs at 100mgs= 1st day (24hrs since last dose) is 50mgs, 2nd day is 25mg, 3rd day is 12.5, 4th day is 6.25mg and the after 5 days you should have less than 5mgs in your system, does that mean i have to wait that long to feel anything. Please help me out with a PM or a post. I AM NEW TO THIS FORUM SO ANY HELP IS DEFINITELY APPRECIATED!
So basically what do you have to do if your stuck at 100mgs and want to feel the good effects h has to offer you?

SWIY needs to pick his poison. I see from your profile that your hamster is on methadone maintenance. If SWIY still wants to get high then stop taking methadone. When one is on methadone maintenance, true opiates will do very little in the getting high department. If SWIY really needs to get a good opioid rush, then SWIM would recommend injecting 8+ mg of Hydromorphine (Dilaudid). Usually M.M. people come in three breeds: 1)The person on a regulated daily dose who is doing well and manages ones own addiction. 2)The person who stops doing opiates and just shoots or smokes coke or meth. 3)The benzo users. No disrespect, SWIM is stuck somewhere in the middle of all three.
