Drug info - mysterious buds...

hey everyone,
so F is very confused because someone gave F two grams of something F does not think is mary jane...
it doesn't smell right, perhaps like oregano, but it's in little buds which is what confused F in the first place because oregano can't form in a bud, right?
so F smoked a bit of it and didn't feel anything really...

help please?
if it doesn't smell like weed but looks like weed... what the fuck is going on?

As a general rule: if you don't know what it is or have reason to suspect that something isn't what you were told it was then don't touch it. Toss it man. Is your health worth 2g of bud?

Do you think it might have been improperly cured?

SWIM has gotten bud that wasn't cured properly, and it didn't smell like weed AT ALL. It kinda had a nasty carrot-like smell. After SWIM smoked a bowl of it, he got high, but not to a seriously noticeable degree.

SWIM would agree with the incorrectly cured idea. SWIM's received similar grass in the past. Usually brick, though.. Blunt weed

Just roll a spliff and smoke if it taste nice and swiys feels the stonage then swiy have in fact got weed.

swim would like to point out that smoking an unknown substance can be very dangerous. if one were to pursue such a course of action, one should be ready to accept any and all possible consequences of said action (including mental and/or bodily harm), and they should try other less invasive means of testing the substance in question before resorting to self-experimentation.

having said that, swim agrees with others that swiy might just have poorly cured buds, or possibly buds that were stored in some strange smelling place. swim has come upon some very odd-smelling (and even odd-tasting) buds in his years of smoking. it's only happened once or twice to swim, and one time he just threw the bag out because the weed tasted so bad. it was decent weed as far as getting high goes, but swim likes to enjoy smoking (the taste/smell and the ritual) as much as he likes the high. so, if swiy can't determine what he's got, or if it smells/tastes too strange, then he should probably just get rid of it.

put a bud into a clear container and pour alcohol into it. Shake it and eventually with enough shaking you should start to see a different color maybe orangish liquid moving around in the alcohol. it may completely turn the alcohol orange. if the bud has cannabinoids they will extract into alcohol.

^ yea but alot of other potentially dangerous substances it might be are also be readily soluble in the alcohol.

SWIM would also suggest maybe burning the bud and see if it gets off a familiar odor. If not, he just recommends tossing it.
