Addiction - MDMA (and similar Phen's) countering Nicotine addiction (and maybe other addictions)

SWIM mentioned this to his brother many years ago when he noticed it. When SWIM took MDMA (pill or powder) he noticed that the next day he DID NOT crave nicotine. SWIM smoked a good 10/20 a day and also weed.
He rememebers saying to his little brother that if anything positive came from taking MDMA (other than its immediate effects) SWIM didnt want a fag for about 24 hours after.
SWIM recalls watching a documentary around a year ago that claimed exactly this and that there was something in these compounds that dealt with the addiction thing. SWIM is sure that ther is some pharm company working on this theory at the mo but cant recall it... SWIM cant remember what he saw and where he saw it and he didnt dream it up.

Does SWIY recall this TV programme in the UK ?
Does SWIY Know what SWIM is feeling on this?
Has SWIM felt this but not really thought about it?
Could this have happened to SWIY ?

There is definately something in it and SWIM would like to hear your experiences - SWIM thinks that most have experienced this positive effect but not really given it much thought ??

Whenever on any sort of psychedelic, My raver friend's nicotine-addicted friends always buy extra packs because they go through them so quickly. The only break they take afterwards is out of nicotine abuse and disgust with themselves for binging os hard on cigarettes.
