[top] "Warning over contaminated heroinPolice are warning drug users to beware of contaminated heroin that is on sale in South Yorkshire. Police said the heroin had been mixed with another substance that was dangerous. It is available in Sheffield but could have spread to other areas. Two people who took the drug said it had a bitter taste and was dark brown when injected. Sheffield's Drugs Action Team said the users suffered symptoms of memory loss and aggressive and abusive behaviour. Det Insp Andy Capes, of South Yorkshire Police, said: "The users of heroin need to be aware that if they are taking non-prescribed drugs they are at risk. "Anyone with concerns about their health should seek medical assistance."" (source http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/s...re/7822971.stm) SWIM was wondering what the contaminant could possibly be? How is it dangerous and have any swimmers had any experience of it? |
