Colors

Not sure how to put this.

My pet goat has this thing on acid where purple seems to be the main color of the trip. He sees purple aura's around most objects, the sky always turns purple, walls turn purple.

Green is also a strong color for him but not so much as purple.
SWIM doesn't know if purple is symbolic for him or not... :/

Does any of SWIY have a certain color that they see/feel on acid?
If so, please explain

My goat would be interested in what people have to say.

Re: Colors

Swim's "color" is red.

Looking at anything black/dark, like a shadow or an area with no light, swim always sees a pattern of red dots. Also, when looking around a room seeing colors change, they more averagely than not turn red with the texture of plastic...

For closed eye visuals, however, the color balance seems to be equal.

SWIM always sees blue 'bubbles' in rows that spin and dance. Blue auras and lines everywhere.

Re: Colors

Green and pink are SWIM's recurring colors... not aware of any good reason why. SWIM has many memories of staring at the popcorn ceiling, watching green and pink patterns swirl around - it was like some kind of demented candy cane!

Hehe sounds like red aums to me. SWIM also lives in Australia and there is this acid called red aum, it always makes SWIM see electric purple and bright green in the trees. SWIM hasn't yet tried a different type because its difficult to find another type where SWIM is right now but he is told that other acid makes you see different colours and that seeing lots of purple is a characteristic of red aums.

Don't know if what SWIM takes has a reputation, but they have lot's of little pictures of Felix the Cat, standing up, with his arms up in the air. He looks very happy

SWIM has only recently taken acid for the first time and didn't notice one colour in particular but lots of bright neon lines (almost like electricity) for most of the trip.

Re: Colors

For most of the flamingo's adventures red seems to dominate. Pulsating, vibrant, gorgeous and sensual

Synaesthesia does strange things though, Chanel no 5 (occasionally used to alter direction/focus of a trip) results in deep purple, fading to turquoise which lingers for the remainder, and often sparks things into an ocean palette when marijuana is smoked.

Evertime SWIM trips with one of his friends, his friends head is orange (his hair is ginger) and his friends lips and eye are green (his eyes are green but not that green). Not solid colours, like a wash if you seen what i mean.

I know exactly what you mean.
There was one point where i was walking back to a mates place and green was dominating. All the cars, my friends, all the houses, the road. Everything was green.

But yeah, it was all washed over.
It was rather amusing.

Yeah SWIM had a friend tell him that and he thought his face had actually turned a purple colour and got quite worried, he knew that he couldnt trust his own eyes so he got a second opinion from someone he didn't know and the guy had no idea what SWIM was on about and gave him quite an odd look. Hilarity ensued.

Re: Colors

All of the talk about quality is subjective, but anyways:

As comfortably numb said, these colors come on in sort of a "wash" over the ordinary world for SWIM.

On really high quality batches he sees oranges and pinks...very clean, metallic and "sunny" colors. On medium quality batches he sees the purples and greens that the OP was citing. Everyone's skin is always a purplish-green...it always reminds him of the part in Hofmann's first real trip where the room turns green and purple and he thinks his neighbor is wearing a purple witch's mask. On the few low quality batches he's tried...the stuff that replaces euphoria with anxiety and visuals with a bleeping haze of shadows...he sees the primary colors everywhere. And in dots...like little dots that have overtaken the canvas.

Very interesting thread. SWIM always wondered if other people got that greenish/purple vibe on acid.

A while ago when SWIM was tripping with his ex she spent about an hour telling him that his face was completely green.
This freaked him out for a while until he decided that he didn't care because her hair was bright purple.

haha exactly! lol that's the nail on the head lol. SWIM has seen girls have snot running down their nose and have really blotchy skin, he knows its just the drug but if SWIM can see that and not really care then he shouldnt worry about what people see when they look at him.

Swim's color is octarine...actually it's the only time swim can see octarine. But if swim had to pick an actual color it would be a mix of purple and yellow.

Re: Colors

Interesting. The Good Sir seems to latch on to a color at some random unpredictable point throughout his experience, and then that color starts to predominate for the rest of the trip. Sometimes, it will carry over into other trips if the interval between them is short.

He had a period during his heavy LSD use days in which every shadow looked like it had an orange and green layer superimposed on top of it and then slightly shifted - sort of like taking a negative of a photograph, superimposing it on top if the original but offset by a little bit, except in orange, and then another layer like it in green. Weird...

At another point, on something that may have been either a monstrous dose of LSD-25 or possibly a heroic dose of 5-MeO-AMT, he was lying under a blanket covered in blue flowers, with gray pattern walls. The flowers literally flowed off the blanket, and went on to cover the walls, ceiling, and grey carpet floor in brilliant, quickly flowing and pulsating blue floral fractals. They literally swept continually over the walls, floor, ceiling, and everything in quick wave-like flowing motions and were brilliantly vivid, as bright as anything else in the room if not brighter. He then saw those fractals everywhere, every room, every surface, and then covering every single tree when he went to wander around outside. Pretty amazing stuff really, every tree trunk covered in a glowing neon-blue floral flowing fractals, while jade-green jewel-like leaves shifted and danced and did their trippy psychedelic thing above.

SWIM totally knows what the good sir means about that sort of thing. So glad that he wasn't the one who had to explain it though, haha. Very hard to put into words.

Re: Colors

Swim sees different colors on different products.

LSD is often purlple (the color of "magic").

DMT is most of the time either Gold/Red or Blue/Red

Ketamine is grey and black, with small touches of neon-like colors.

Mushrooms are often green and blue.

I guess it depends on swiy's own perception of a drug, as well as the context.

Swim once saw the whole world turn pastel green and pink on mdma, k, and dmt. Combos are awesome ^^.

That has always been SWIM's rationalization as well! It definitely has a "witchcraft and wizardry" vibe about it. Although the first time that SWIM ever took it, the purples and greens were so strong that he thought he'd been poisoned--apparently many poisonous mushrooms produce this phenomenon and he had been reading about it in the weeks before.

I'm surprised no one has commented on seeing the oranges and pinks that are so overwhelming on the notoriously clean ALD-52 (the reason why he equates these colors with "clean acid"). Most of SWIM's batches these days produce that effect (both in himself and his comrades)--would any SWIMmer's care to speculate on the quality of the purplish-green batches as far as mental and physical aspects are concerned?

Re: Colors

Our PEF tells us that he gets "electric pinkish-purple spheres" swirling in lines tracing everything, and has the same sort of color in many of his CEVs and OEVs. Indescribable, really, somewhat like magenta but with a vibrancy not seen in any natural material.
