Tripping In Public

How many of you use psychedellics in public? My friends and I were discussing it, and we've been in "fine form" in public many times, but we have never seen anyone else blazing through time at the mall or anywhere like that.

I'd rather not go in public while I'm on any drug. On weed, maybe...
but I trip hard on DXM, even at low doses. I'd do some pretty crazy
shit.



And on weed, if I smoke a lot, after the first 20 minutes or so or at
least when the initial "hardcore tripping phase" is done, the high is a
little more controllable and tapers off from then. With DXM, the high
lasts a long time, and I never know if it's going up or down.

I have done booms and went to Finding Nemo in theater. That was a trip. It was packed with my 2 tripping buddies, me, and all the rest little kids. Crazy visuals. I also did booms on 4th of July. I went downtown where thousands of people were to watch a hour long firework show. That was intense. I've also tripped at bars, parties, I-MAX theater, but really want to trip at Disney World. That would be the ultimate place to trip.

The first time I ever tripped on shrooms was last week at king's dominion (an amusement park in richmond, VA). Its weird being that out of your head in public but I don't think too many people were paying attention to me. The thing you have to remember is most people are too concerned with themselves and what others are thinking of them to be paying attention to the whack way you're acting.

I wouldnt find my self out and about in public tripping. I do go out though while smoking weed no biggie there at all. But tripping is much different. If your having a nice mushie trip and you start laughing uncontrollably or you start to freak about something not happning (a picture of someone breathing for instance) then you will draw wierd looks. Also sense your puipls (sp?) are the size of your eye and there is no color, if someone looks at you they will be sure to knowtice something is up


I try to save tripping for times with me and my friends, not going all out and about. Even though the new Star Wars is comming out and i'm trying to obtain some mushies. Even if i do though i'll go to the late showing so i dont have to deal with tons of people.

When ppl are tripping in my town, its a college town, you dont really have to deal with too many ppl that arent tripping or that care about it. What you mainly have to deal with is other ppl messing with you while tripping. Makes a lot of ppl paranoid.

I rarely do it. Most of the time my friends and I will just stay in the
dorm when tripping. Sometimes we will go out and roam the campus at
night though, which is very fun because of the nature preserve located
on campus We've gone to the beach before, but once again, it has always been at night when we won't have to deal with people.

I personally like to be around nature when I trip. Yeah, it's fun tripping in your house with the music on. But it's even more fun to just sit on the beach and watch the sunset, or at night. Just listening to the waves crash, and watching the water is just awesome. Oh and when it's a full moon, you feel like your just bonding with the universe.

One time way back when I first started to discover the joys of
trippin on acid my girl and i found ourselves in a dunkin doughnuts. On
the wall was a large picture of a kid at the beach flying a huge
rainbow kite. His shirt had printed on it " Dunkin Doughnuts
its worth the trip!"

We started laughing so hard they told us to leave or theyd call the cops.

So now I stay home when I trip or maybe just go for walk around block. Even clubbin on e bothers me though for differnet reasons

This IS about tripping in public, a friend whoI will call "R"went to burger king on shrooms and "R" had to throw up and went into the bathroom (first time on shrooms) and started talking to the person in the stall next to him about how the walls were breathing thinking it was me, when i wasant even in the bathroom,"R" came out and the guy asked him what the fuck he was on....we quickly left hystericaly laughing.

It's funny because he used a zeugma, which is one of the most downright hilarious grammatical constructions going.


Tripping in public is fine. You just need to remember that nobody is really going to just guess that you're tripping, and even if they do, it's very unlikely that they'll care. With long trips, like acid, I'd get bored if I was expected to just stay in one place for the twelve hours or whatever of the trip. Getting bored while on psychedelic drugs is a horrible feeling.


Tripping in public in the daytime has its own unique appeal-everyone looks beautiful or at least interesting, and you can watch the world go by, and people going about their business and it all seems so cool and lovely.Edited by: Hyperreal

I've tripped in public quite a few times and it's actually pretty fun! ...until you bump into someone you work with or an elderly relative

hmm..major high DXM plateau tripping in public nah.


I used to be on around 600mgs of pseudoephedrine or 200 of DXM or 2-3 vicodin pills at school ALL THE TIME. It just made me feel good and made school fun! xP I think the only time anyone noticed was that I was on DXM and sayin that the lights look like they're movin and changin colors, then I tripped over a guitar case and fell flat on the ground. Besides that I tend to keep my composure there.


The only other time I tripin public is at my friends house. Her parentsare on vicodin and they don't seem to notice if I snatch a few pills. Her parents are home and most of the time I just have to worry about walking straight. I've had a bad trip and crashed on her brother's bed for like 40 mins but I just said I was tired and didn't get any sleep last night. =]

Tripping in the great outdoors is a future goal of mine but tripping in public i.e. surrounded by loads of strangers, sounds a bit wrong. Mushrooms would be manageable but an acid trip in public just sounds uncomfortable and scary.

I hate tripping in public. Lol I like to site and admire a particular
object or feeling that catches my interest. And you look kind of funny staring
at the candy bare rack. For too long.


But one funny story I have.

i smoke weed at lunch time and come back to school for the last 2
periods stoned off my ass... I also have done some vike's at school,
which is enjoyable.

I enjoy going out after smoking, or even if i have taken something that doesnt screw you up too hard. Like pills that are not that strong. Even if you do get sick or someone knows your high, who cares?

Yeah i would have to agree. Ive learned from my experiences that
spur of the moment tripping never seems as great of an idea a couple
hours later when you have absoluteley nothing to do. I once spent
about 6 hours of a night tripping out in a car, because me and my
friends had no where to go.
