SWIM is no butt pirate but SWIM seem to find the negative effects of yopo to be too overwhelming.

Is this even a legitimate option?

I heard it works and without the nausea or total annihilation of the naval cavity.

There was some talk awhile ago about DMT being active rectally, I think there was a video about it on youtube or something, apparently giving the user an ayahuasca type experience if I can remmeber correctly. I believe there was a thread on it somewhere but I can't find it.

as for the rectal Yopo (bufotenin), I believe 69ron made a post comfirming that extracted freebase bufotenin (or perhaps it was calcium bufotenate (sp?)) does work well.

I believe these questions have been addressed and it would do you good to use the forum search engine to find your answers. (since obviously my memory is a bit off right now)

SWIM did a search an couldn't find any info on a simple yopo extraxt being used rectally. (ground yopo + baking soda)

SWIM doesn't have access to the many chemicals needed to make a proper extraction.

Yopo has been used rectally by natives for hundreds of years. It’s also been smoked, snorted, and even occasionally very small amounts have been added to alcoholic beverages.

SWIM has tried freebase bufotenine rectally one time. It was a fantastic experience. There were no side effects of any kind. It was extremely pleasant, sort of like LSD.

Probably 99% of the time, bufotenine is the main alkaloid in Yopo, and DMT just appears in traces. But every once in a while DMT is the main active alkaloid. But DMT is extremely weak compared to bufotenine, so consider yourself unlucky if you get Yopo high in DMT because it will hardly to anything at all. Yopo is normally snorted. Bufotenine is active nasally at about 20-50 mg. DMT is active nasally at about 150-200 mg. It’s much weaker.

Other than the fact that I know Yopo has been made into enemas and used that way for hundreds of years, I don’t know the recipe that was used. When making snuff, the natives add calcium hydroxide and water and mix it and then dry it. Adding calcium hydroxide is essential to getting a good experience from it when snuffing it, but when taking in rectally, it might not be needed at all.

I just looked this up on Erowid and Wikipedia, but could not find anything that suggestes rectal Yopo use among natives. Can you please post links to this info?

Swim simply cant do it... Just makes swim feel like he's been cursed with explosive diarrhea. The yopo ended up in the toilet. Swim has never done anything rectally before but will give it one more go before giving up completely.

Here is a video of a lady telling about her experiences of DMT taken analy.
She used to live in the abandoned missile silo with LSD notorieties Gordon Todd Skinner and William Leonard Pickard.
I'm thinking she might know a think or two about triping(as well as missile silos). She talkes about pure DMT and not Yopo, but still interresting.

That’s 5-HO-DMT (bufotenine), not “spice” (DMT). SWIM only did it once because he just doesn't like that route of administration. It would be cool if there was another way to take it that gave the same effects.

You need to do a little more research that just that. Read the book Anadenanthera By Constantino Manuel Torres, David B. Repke. It mentions native enema use of Yopo in many different places in the book all supported by various different researchers. Page 80 is one such page that talks about it.

Still don't understand how people living under jungle hygiene conditiones hundred of years ago could administer medicine rectally and live to tell the tale.

Just cause they did doesn't mean that nobody died. Its not like they actually had any idea what they were using at the time. They found out by trial and error.
