Purity - MDMA Powder Question

apologies if this has been posted before. swim has been searching for a good half hour and can't find the information required.

swim's uncle bob found a source of mdma caps over the past summer (southern hemisphere) and during this time swim's uncle has shared these with swim....

after years of taking ecstasy tablets swim was very happy to find some pure mdma (or as pure as swim is likely to find) because the purity of ecstasy is very erratic...

now all has been great. swim has been having a great time taking it and it is definetaly in his best two drugs ever along with LSD. this discovery has without a doubt been one of the highlight's of swim's summer.

but tonight swim's uncle made an interesting comment. swim was asking him about his source and if he knows how big of a dealer this guy is etc,. just general curiousity questions.

then swim asked his uncle "what form does this guy get it in?? is it just a big cylinder full of powder or what??" and swims uncle said it's just a rock...

now swim was under the impression that mdma powder can not bind together which is why binding agents are needed to form ecstaty tablets... and if swim is right it would mean you couldn't have a rock of mdma??

maybe swim has read wrong over the past months, or swims uncle was just bullshitting as he tends to do, or perhaps swims uncle doesn't know himself and just thought he blurt out something to make it sound like he knows....

the physical apperance and taste is everything swim has read it should be on the internet. it is a fairly white powder with a slight yellow tinge which suggests its not 100% pure but swim wasn't expecting 100%. it has an extremely bitter taste, whilst the effects are the same as ecstasy except heightened, longer and with less comedown.

even though swim will still take these caps, any advice there would be great in regards to the rock....

it could very well be in crystalline form...my cat was also unaware of this but apparently it's possible. my cat should know the chemistry behind this but doesn't, after a quick google search though, it appears that this is not all that rare...

SWIM has had it in rock form, and it's been pure MDMA. There's been several threads on this not too long ago. If you look some of the synthesis guides in the chemistry forum you can see how it can be produced as a rock. The problem is, the rocks are quite brittle, so they can't be pressed into pills or they'll just crumble away in pockets or whatever. HTH

MDMA is crystalline. The size of the crystals depends on the technique of the chemistry used in the manufacture. Powdered MDMA has been pulverized from some sort of crystalline product.

The largest Ed has ever seen in person was about 3/8-1/4 inch in size. In pictures, I've seen beautiful transparent crystals well over one inch in length.
