'Body load' seems to be a pretty new phrase, mostly used in reference to research chemicals. It means the effect a chemical has on your bodily finctions, rather than on yourmind. A drug has a high body load if it causes nausea, if it affects muscles (tension, relaxation, tremors etc.), if it causes gastro-intestinal discomfort, tachycardia, if you feel physically exhausted after it, that sort of thing. A drug has a light body load if it can twist ou mind without upsetting your body. LSD would be a good example of a drug with a light body load (or even no body load at all). Its effects are all mental - your stomach, heart, muscles etc. all feel normal.

Body load just means undesirable physical side effects. Like nausia, tight muscles, feeling hot, feeling cold, any general sick feeling.

^that's correct, undesirable</span> physical side effects.

A typical example is the jaw clenching many people get with MDMA.
Schulgin (humourously I think) suggested that could be cured by chewing
on a rag!

Whenever I take LSA I just get this weird tense feeling over my body.
It's not painful, or really BAD in anyway, just exceptionally
uncomfortable. This would be considered a body load, correct?

Yes, I think the body load with LSA is caused by some extra alkaloids.

Those would be cyanogenic glycosides. Relatively pure LSA is a squeeky clean experience.

Would the effects from narcotics such as Hydrocodene and oxycottin be a "Body Load" because the effects seem to be more physical then mental or does it just pretain to negitive effects.

Yes painkillers would definitely be considered "body load" drugs

Although, if people are describing "body load" as undesireable effects on the body, maybe painkillers not so much, since people take painkillers for the feel the physical effects. I think mainly though "body load" is a term used for people that take psychedelics and desire the drugs that effect only the mind and not body, so anytype of feeling in the body they get, wether it be warm fuzzy tingles or upset stomache refer to it as "body load". Am I understanding this right? Someone please correct me if I am mistaken.

on a discussion bases i would have to concur with you "body load" should discribe the physical effects of drugs that are felt in the body or relating to the body positive or negitive
