Hives
Recently swim has switched from injecting into her regular spots and started using a vein on the backside of her arm (like if you trace from your pinky straight back to your elbow). She is using clean needles, the same brand she has always used, and the same bags she would get anywhere. However, whenever swim hits this spot her arm feels like its on fire and for a second and then several minutes later breaks out in hives up and down her arm. Its an allergic reaction, not caused by hitting a nerve. Swim isnt worried about the reaction and is sure some benadryl or something like that would prevent it. Swim is just wondering why this would only happen from hitting one specific vein? Any info?

Re: Hives
It could possibly be a small amount of liquid that is leaking out of the vein and back under swiys skin, this would sometimes happen to swim if he injected to fast or went straight through the vein.
This can sometimes happen when injecting in to smaller veins in the hands or feet, a slightly slower injection should prevent any overfill and subsequent leak. Hope this helps…Q |

Re: Hives
SWIM had the exact same thing happen the other day. It really hurt a lot and his arm swelled up twice its size. Was scar. Thing is though it registered both times he tried to push it in and it didn't seem pink to SWIM
