Effects - strange experience on diphenhydramine: Hallucinations not what was expected

Swim took about 600mg of dph over three hours ago and has had only very mild visuals which are very easy to tell apart from reality. Based on what Swim has read, this should not be the case.

Anyone know why this might be?

my raver friend has only had outright hallucinations when there is very low light, such that shadows would morph into different things and become animated figures. also he told me that he would only have these hallucinations when he's at the point in the trip when typing is completely impossible because of a severe loss of coordination and concentration.

swim asks because people say that swim should be freaking out with lucid hallucinations, but he only sees what is similer to visuals on a minor acid trip

no one can ever say with absolute certainty what will happen when someone else takes something, based solely on their own personal experiences. they can make recommendations of what should happen but to add infallibility to their recommendations is pure idiocy. my raver friend had said hallucinations on doses of 600mg and 650mg if i remember correctly when he told me about them. he is also very skinny, but tall, and a lightweight when it comes to most things.

swim has only ever done Diphenhydramine twice both times generic benedryl ond only at 300mg didnt see anyone who wasnt there but saw wierd little invisible spiders more real looking than say acid or shrooms but could tell them apart from reality the only conclusion swim has been able to come up with is that it very much depends on "who" is taking it what kind of mindset they are and there expectations, fears aniextys(bad spelling) and such from what swim has done and the people he knows who have done it some will have full blown conversations with people who arnt there some will see some minor (or possibly major) hallucenations and some may simply fall asleep the only advice swim can give is that when you dont expect somthing to happen then it is more likely too but that dosnt mean it will either. Diphenhydramine is a strange drug and strange expirence in every sense of that.

swim has done 475 mg dph and tripped balls. he thought he was on the phone with people but wasnt, saw shadow men, etc. and thought it all was real.

SWIM took 325mg and SWIM didn't experience any kind of visual hallucinations. Auditory ones, yes, and maybe SWIM DID experience visual hallucinations, but he couldn't remember them since he was already trying to get to sleep.
