Setting - First Time LSD At A High School Function?

A friend of mine had this idea, and he decided to tell me about it. After I heard this, I thought that I would share it with you guys and get your opinions. Hes a senior at highschool this year and his school is throwing a "senior banquet" at a local banquet hall for all of the seniors to attend, and while it isnt at school, its still a school function and school rules apply. Now, by mere coincidence, an opportunity to obtain ten hits of LSD and this banquet appear to be on the same day. While pondering this, an idea hit him, heand his friend plan to each take one hit of acid at the banquet. They were wondering what the best way to spice it up would be anyhow. Now, this will be the first "acid drop" for each person, although they are no strangers to psychedelics (or to using them in public view). So how wise do you think this is for them to do? Will one hit completely fuck them up? Its more out of curiosity than anything,my friendhas his head set on doing it anyhow.

It could depend on a lot of things. Its always risky trying a new
substance in public. Also how overwhelming the experience will be will
vary depending on how large of a dose is in each hit. It is very
possible for the anxiety of trying a new substance infront of a large
group of people could induce a bad trip as well.

I think that if they are "no strangers to psychedelics" as you say,
then everything should be fine. If they have tripped in public before,
then this isn't going to be any different - just better

Still a lot depends upon the dose. A hit may contain 90 - 350 mikes. While 90 will still be easy to navigate, a heavy hit of several hundred mikes may have them battling cosmic dwarfes at that banquet. Lol. May be a lot of fun, but until intensisty of the hits are established, I'd rather not take that chance.

Sounds like fun. Why not? It's not like you can't take acid outside your own living room.

Personally I think it's a bad idea. Tripping is all about the setting, and if your in a place where you think you can get in trouble for being on drugs then your in the wrong place. Cause that thought is going to linger in the back of your head, and that's the makings for a bad trip.


I say go to your seinor party, get drunk, stoned, wutever, something you can handle, then go back to someones house and throw a tripping party. I'm telling you, if you have a bad trip, your probably never going to want to do acid again. Acid can either make you or break you.

Yeah, they could leave whenever. In fact, they had considered leaving a little early andwalking to a theater a block from the banquet hall to catch a movie, but theyll see how it goes. One question, if they do start with a half, when would they be able to tell if it was/wasnt enough and if they then took the other half, would it be as good as taking a full one to start?

Well, the guy said its pretty potent (wanted to make sure my friend had prior experience with drugs of that nature before selling it to him)so theyre just going to do a half each, and bring the other halves with. Also, what is the best way to store blotter?

Ya if buddy says it pretty good stuff start with a half and wait! it could take as long as 1 1/2 hours to peak. I dont know how many times ive heard the story of " i took this acid and waited for ever, nothing happened so i took some more..." Blammo buddy ends up really high!!!! higher than he wants to be. Patience is the key, itll happen just let it come on. As for storage, just make sure it stays dry where ever you put it.

They can do it safely most likely, but I personally wouldn't. The thing about acid is I like to be in a controlled enviroment where I can adjust the lighting, play music etc. I dont think a banquet would be a good place to trip because it will ruin the whol experience. In a private setting you can relax and not worry about anything but in public you have to make sure you dont make a fool of yourself. I dont think it is a bad idea, just not something I would want to do. Getting stoned might be fun, but I dont think I would waste anything but weed for a banquet. LSD is way to prescious. They should save it.

Well, thank you for all of the feedback, my friend appreciates it. Tonights the big night, and he still plans to go through with it, will do a followup post in the next few days, hes very excited. and there wont really be a problem with making a fool of himself. Its very casual, people have to dress in 80's attire, theres a dance after, i think theyll be fine. Hope so anyways

If they both take it why dont you just have a couple other friends that arent taking anything watching out for you and are willing to leave incase anything goes wrong. Better to be safe then sorry.

oh my god, they should def put a warning lable on that stuff. jesus fucking christ. besrt night ever. whhooooooo. they took half, waited two hours, decided they werent fucked up enouigh, went out to the car, took another half, may have smoked some pot, no way to tell for sure, the lady at the door may have made some crack about smelling like wacky tobaccky. then left the banquet, was really feeling it, thoguht "what the hell" and each took another half. went to a movie, which was the most intense movie ever, i didnt know we had that many dimensions. went back to a friends house and smoked a bunch more weed. followed by 10+ hours of pure delerium/psychosis. hes still fucked up now, 16 hours after dropping. omhg, should def put an "uh oh" on that stuff.best night ever

LOL I dont know if that is a good idea, last time I had drank shroom-aid with my friends and came to school it was a disaster, they couldnt controll themselves and were laughing histericaly, I wouldnt advise strong pshycodelics at school.

if you do do it, be prepared to take off pretty much the whole weekend, its been 19 hours and im still not back to baseline, i havent slept at all and im still not tired. Good will hunting is a fantastic movie, and i have to be at work in 4 fucking hours.

IMO it is tripping for the wrong reasons. I dont think acid
should be wasted as a "event enhancer" at least not one like
that. I can see where acid would be good at concerts and shit,
but most of the time i use my lsd for spiritual work in the safety of
my home.

There are no 'wrong reasons' or 'right reasons'. LSD can be used for all kinds of things: parties, concerts, studying, work, not just 'spiritual work'. They're not wasting acid, they're using it how they want to use it.
