Dose - First Time Benadryl (Diphenhydramine)

how many benadryl, pills that are 25mg of Diphenhydramine HCl should one take to trip on???


this will be my first time with any drug so im not sure, and i dont know much about antihistamines, so if u could help thanks.

Yeah, but don't forget that those same pills are sleeping aids. Do some caffeine or something else so you stay awake, my choice would be Adderall.

triped 6 hours straight worse time of my entire life i thought i was dying the whole time and i felt horrible the next day maybe bad trip? friends hate it too dont use Diphenhydramine itsucks

i felt like SHIT. i got really cold and felt really hungry and sick. i barely tripped, it wasnt like what people say about the hallucinations, but maybe i didnt have enough, but if i took more i would have been feelin even worse. its not worth it.

Let me tell you one of my scary stories about Benadryl.
When I first tried Bdryl, I decided to start with a low dose. According to the Lycaeum’s Dramamine/Benadryl FAQ, “You can always work up from a dose that doesn't do anything at all, but it's pretty hard to work down from a lethal dose.” So I started with one tablet.
I waited until I was experienced at taking one before trying 2. Then I waited until I was experienced at taking 2 before trying 4…you get the idea. I kept doing this, so I went; 1, 2, 4, 6, 8…
6 tablets was really, really cool. I loved it. And I experienced no side effects whatsoever on this dose. Then I tried 8.
I all but stopped breathing! I tried to breathe, but nothing happened. I felt like my lungs had turned to stone, they just wouldn’t move. Also, the walls of my lungs were covered with twinkling stars (really hard to describe). I know that sounds cool, but it wasn’t pleasant at all. I thought I was going to die.
Looking back, I realize that I probably should have gone to the emergency room. But I was focusing so hard on trying to breathe that I had no energy left to use to get out of bed and find my mom. So maybe it’s better that I sat it out.
Don’t listen to the person who said, “Take 12 for your first trip”. 8 nearly killed me.
I think the reason I couldn’t breathe is that acetylcholine is a chemical messenger in the body that, among other things, tells the lungs to breathe. (It also allows for memory and cognition- BRAIN DAMAGE ALERT!) One of Benadryl’s side effects is it lowers acetylcholine levels. (Note: this is NOT the mechanism by which it makes one high. The antihistamine-effects cause the high. By the way, there is a prescription medication called Vistaril, which is histamine-active without the (nasty!) anti-cholinergic side effects. Vistaril is fun! But since it’s not over-the-counter, it’s harder to get L.)
Oh by the way, I still love Benadryl! Of course, now I only take 4 at once. Then I wait an hour, then take another 4, etc. I think about Bdryl 24-7. I guess that goes to show just how head-over-heels I am for junk.

i took 14 my first time...nothing really happend...i noticed the heaviness of the limbs...but on the way up ( i have ADHD) i kept noticing that i was tapping my foot ALOT and felt kinda coldt...but then i went and laid down on my warm water bed...oh that felt good...nothing really happend to me.. i just fell asleep after 3 hours of that...nothing really good or bad happend...i was pretty dissapointed

same poster who started this, again.i posted the thing about my trip after taking 12 thatnight. but since then i have had some badchest pains, and i want to know if this could be from the pills??? like i said before, it made me feel terrible and felt like my body was weakening, so could the pills have made my heart beat so irregular that it gave me chest pains for like 2 weeks?

Wow its been a long time since the last post on this topic but o well just learned of this forum last week or so. Anyways my first time with benadryl i took 22 pills of it, worst drug i have ever done i was tired as hell so i made some coffee and i was dizzy as hell, i stumbled walking a little bit but it wasnt a good dizzy feeling it was a sick dizzy feeling anyways other than feeling dizzy and sick nothing happened about an hour after i took it i threw up all over the place. I dont think you can trip of this shit or i woulda been trippin ballz. I'll stick to DXM.

Why are you all abusing a "over the counter drug?" Benadryl is used to calm you down if you were sick, not something used to TRIP off of. Why don't you buy a hit of acid or something?! Watch out- taking that many BENADRYL will kill YOU!

No it won't. Summer I did benadryl and dramamine quite frequently. Normally about 24. I would never get sick, the most I got was when I vomited. That happened once. And as for my first time, I took 18 dramamine and smoked a bowl with a friend and I had a great time. I tripped really hard whenever I took it. I remember riding the bus home one night and saw a palm tree, thought it was a truck in the sky, then a jet plane, then realised it was a tree. The only thing I don't like about those drugs are that everything seems to quiet and sometimes when you lay down while on them, you cant seem to find a comfortable position.

Benydryl is used for allergies. It is an antihistamine. One of the side effects is drowsiness, so in that instanceit will calm.

its alos the same exact thing as Dramamine used for motion sickness ect.

As for the guest that said he was ripped off 6, they were either not benedryl or they were not 25mg does......i personaly have taken 20 25mg tabs and had mild periferal haulisinations*most of the night and one big one were a thought a troll was smoking a blunt next to me but i had "bugs" all night and could not sleep it was hell. The thing to remember is that in order to have visuals you have to be willing and the room must be dark.

Now wait just a damn minute -- This one HAS tripped on a 75mg dose. It is quite possible to get really farking ripped on a low, low dose of diphenhydramine. (This one takes it for allergies, kthx, and will not take more than a 75mg dose due to the effects.)

But the post this one quoted was quite correct -- a dark room and relaxed mind are highly conducive to a trip.

i am taking benadryl tonight..25 mg..I started off by taking 2....lets see what happens, i'll probably take liek 2 every half hour...good luck lets hope i trip

hm... about a week ago... i was taking sominex to help me sleep... so i had planned for it to help me... i had taken it for a few days before... it says take one... i would take 2-3 for it to actually help... and it still didnt even help... just after hours fell asleep... insomniac here... anyways... so like the 4th night... i had read about u could trip on them... i took 2 to fall asleep... waiting there in bed trying to sleep... thinkin about how u could trip and many other things... decided it wasnt working so... i decided to take another one... but for some reason i took 4... after about a half hour in bed again... i fell asleep... it was about 2 hours later that i woke up... i had to piss... i was feeling pretty disoriented but also happy... pretty euphoric experiences... and hope when i get some more money to try it again... it was the extra strenth so each pill was 50mg... so in total that night i had 300mg... i will prolly try around the same... im a pretty careful experimenter...peace and have fun..remember state of mind plays a huge rule in any experience... if your happy the experience will be good... with exceptions of course...

This ia a good forum. But lets face it some people"I think " give bad advice. If you are thinking about trying a new drug you know nothing about, read up on it and read all the post, instead of listening to one. No offense, but you know that 12 of just about anything is too much. Especially if this person has never done this drug before. Try and be a little more responsible. What if this guy took 12 of those pill and it killed him. How would you feel?

damn it its your first time with any drug you should not start out with pills cause you never know how your body could react to them i would suggest you start with weed it does not have that strong of an effect and plus with pills you can get sick as f**k

I was wondering what the dosage of benadryl ishow many little pink pills shouldone consume? Also would two tablespoons of ground ginger stop an upset stomach from the benadryl? A friend is planning to grind up the pills and parachute them and parachute two tablespoons of ground ginger also, would this work?
