HELP! recieving Research Chemicals from Canada, customs?
Someone who my friend told me about made a rather ignorant decision, they ordered over 20 grams of various research chemicals from a canadian vendor to their home under their real name. None of the chemicals are scheduled in the US, exept 2C-T-7 which was included in the order. The payment was done with western union. The vendor is reliable as several others have ordered without issue. The package had a tracking number, but the last update just said 'international item has left canada'. Does this mean it has passed customs? or is being held by customs? If it is being held by customs would the shipping company say so on the tracking? It has been 4 days since the tracking has been updated. The person contacted the vendor about this and they said orders often dont show up on the tracking and arrive without issue, and the orders can be held for up to 30 days and still arrive because they are international. The person is paranoid about LEO's doing a controlled dleivery, but a friend said if they were going to do that the package would not be delayed as it would arouse suspision. The person has cleaned house of any possible evidence of anything illigal. Should the person sign for the package if it does arrive? should they say they do not know anything about the package? Many people who order RC's and have them confinscated by customs just get the 'love letter', but how much would arouse suspision of intent to distribute? And could LEO's get a warrant for search from said situation? And would moving/destroying said persons computer help at all?
