Swim loves sex and drugs... but usually tries to hold off because he finds that once he gets off it kills the high...swim starts to feel that a lot of the high is because of his sexual appetite too... and that sexual stuff is a good thing while on drugs... so once that is gone he kills the high...

Does any other swimmers feel this way or have this problem?

After a man orgasms, blood levels of the hormone prolactin spike. Prolactin and dopamine (the main neuro transmitter involved in the high) are antagonistic to each other. So as prolactin rises, dopamine (or the percieved effects of dopamine) declines.

Only once the levels of prolactin fall (called the 'refractory period') can a man attain another erection and orgasm. Well, that's the theory, but once you factor in strong dopamine release agents or dopamine reuptake inhibitors, odd theings can happen.

If SWIY wishes to change or even prevent the decline in the 'high', post orgasm, SWIY might want to investigate cabergoline (domapine agonist) or wellbutrin (dopamine reuptake inhibitor).

on a lot of drugs, swim knows she's coming down when the sex starts--unless using ecstasy or meth. swim is usually on opiates all of the time--and has sex nearly every day, more than once a day, with more than one person (no swim is not a hooker)...swim never cums, and is not really that horny--just does it for shits and giggles. anyway, when swim is going through withdrawal, swim wants to fuck (and cum, or at least try) 24/7. however, it's kind of hard to fuck when going through withdrawal b/c of being shaky, sweaty, and having the shits (usually swim is chronically masturbating while going through w/d). when swim is coming down on coke, fucking is unbelievably good and totally counteracts any residual high. orgasm usually messes up certain highs for swim, maybe it speeds up metabolism?

swim finds that high orgasms are much better but depending on which drug it can bring him down. this seems to be more prevalent with psychedelics. however not so with amphetamines and slightsly with mdma. swim cannot remember last time he had sex on anything really weird (like ketamine) but he assumes that it would probably not be very enjoyable in the first place...
