Homemade Kratom Tincture Extract
Swim made a homemade Kratom tincture extract recently and he thought he would post his results. So swim searched the web for Kratom tincture recipes and he was able to dig up a few, it was hard to find ones that you didnt need to pay for. Swim found ones with exact measurements but it seems like they all are similar to the simpliest one swim found.
So swim used 100 grams of regular bali kratom and he doesnt remember the exact amount of 100 proof vodka he used but he just filled the jar of kratom to about an inch and half above the kratom. Make sure to stir it before swiy finish pouring the vodka, swiy wants the vodka to penetrate every inch of the jar before. Then make sure swiy has atleast a inch of vodka above the kratom. He then stashed the jar away and he made sure to shake the jar twice a day for atleast a couple minutes. The longer swiy can shake it the better because it clumps up in the middle. He let it sit for 4 weeks before he opened it then used cheese cloth to squeeze out the tincture, swiy could use an old cloth or cut up an old T-shirt but cheese cloth works so much better I recommend getting some cheese cloth. He put it in a cup then he covered it and put it in the fridge for safe keeping.
Now swiy has some options on how swiy wants to use it. Swiy can just take a 2 teaspoon shot but it wont be to pleasant. What swim did was he took 2 teaspoons full in a shot glass and then he put the shot glass in the microwave for 20 seconds or so, keep an eye on it so it doesnt boil over. That would evaporate all of the alcohol and all swiy is left with is the kratom taste in a shot. You could also pour a little bit of boiling water in the shot glass that will also evaporate the alcohol.
You may want to evaporate the whole batch at once and if you do then you need to use it fast before it goes bad. If you evaporate the whole batch and youre not going to use it in a short period of time then you could replace the vodka with vegetable glycerin. If you go that route then add a 50/50 mixture of water and glycerin to the evaporated mixture until you reach the previous level or volume of liquid before the exatrction. The vegatable glycerin will keep it from going bad and is available at most health food stores.
Swims experience with dosing this is that 1 teaspoon is equal to 2 teaspoons of bali without the bad side effects like headaches. 2 teaspoons is enough for a very pleasureable experience. Swim likes to mix a teaspoon of tincture with a teaspoon of plain bali powder. It seems to offer a well rounded experience. Tolerance increases fast with a tincture so care is needed in using it. It can be used in higher doses without many side effects, when swim wants to get to sleep fast he uses 6 teaspoons and it knocks him out.
It doesnt last as long as the amount of kratom would normally last if it was ingested in plain form. The reason swim did a tincture extraction is because he had 300 grams of powder bali kratom that was coarse, gave him headaches and just wasnt very strong in general. He was happy with the product. The strength of the batch will vary depending on alot of factors. Be careful in dosing and watchout for tolerance.
