Coke and my Rubik's Cube
Hey y'all, swim has recently inadvertently come across a Rubik's cube that he had as a kid and become quite enchanted with it. He is no mathematician but decided to do a little google on ways to solve it and a week later is sitting there twiddling like a geek. He can do it in between 3-5 minutes as a rule but tonight for the first time tried it after a few lines. He doesn't feel particularly alert, more hazy with some wine in the mix, and felt like it took him ages to do. When he checked the timer though it turned out he did it in 2 minutes dead!
So, his question is this: Do other swimmers have objective experiences of when they've thought they were slowed down and slightly less functional than normal but were really like shit off a shovel? It would be interesting to know if swim was actually a lot more apparently compos mentis to other people than he felt at the time. |
