Question Best Lucid Dreaming Herb

What are SWIYs' favorite supplements for creating lucid dreams? List the herb/dosage way administered and percieved effects

SWIM just got Wild Lettuce and Calea Zacetechichi. SWIM will report his experiences with these.

Re: Best Lucid Dreaming Herb

Wormwood (artemisia absinthium) hands down is most effective for swim. Swim uses a tea ball full of foliage and drinks the disgusting creation. Swim says you know you drank enough when you feel a good deal or pressure in the head. Swim then lays down, and gets sent into dream world.

Re: Best Lucid Dreaming Herb

Interesting, wormword always scared me with the propaganda that the government churned out to destroy absinthe sales. Is it a deslusiant, or does it work by some other mechanism. Thanks for your input, tell me what you know. I'm going to go do some research!

Re: Best Lucid Dreaming Herb

There is a discussion on Thujone in Absinthe in the Alcohol section if swiy would like to read it. Thujone is a convulsant, you'd have to OD on wormwood oil to feel anything from it. DO NOT use the wormwood oil as a dreaming aid, buy wormwood foliage from a vendor. Swim cannot give gram estimates for tea, but he can say a large tea ball will do the trick. Understand the tea is extremely bitter, so bitter it even earned commentary in The Bible. Drinking a wormwood tea does not produce effects in waking state. Swim believes it is unknown what the active ingredient which induces lucid dreaming, but he is sure it is not Thujone.

Wormwood is not widely used as a dream enhancer due to the fact of its involvement in Absinthe. Swim finds it is very effective in that it induces effective WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dreams). Basically, Swim can take a nap at 1:00pm, and wake up at 2:00pm after an hour long adventure.

Wormwood is all about finding a magic dose. Too little, and it will have little effect. Swim judges how much he needs by the pressure felt in his head. Swim feels a "phasing" feeling when he has drank the proper amount. Swim does not have much technical info to share, as he tends to work with herbs by repetition and feel.

Also, since swiy states he has CZ, swim would recommend giving that a go. Just be aware that CZ seems to have some sort of reverse tolerance, if swiy takes it several nights in a row, he will reap its benefits. Do not be discouraged if swiy does not feel anything special the first night.

Re: Best Lucid Dreaming Herb

Mugwort is also very nice. It is basically like Wormwood's cousin, I guess you could say.

SWIPA has read various documents about Mugwort and it's effects on dreaming. It is often used in tea as well as smoked, but most interestingly, if you simply put an ounce or so in some cheesecloth and put it in your pillowcase it works just as well. This has been SWIPA's own personal experience as well as experiences that have been reported by others.

Here are some links with more info on it:
