Snorting - snorting H

Swim plans on using heroin for the 1st time. he's not quite sure on how to get it....but ask around for a little and it shouldn't be a problem.

he heard that at the beginning only a match head's amount is all you snort...is this correct? it just seems weird, cause that like....pretty much nothing. ha

No one here does anything illegal.

That said, ones pet iguana enjoys snorting Heroin. He says that even though smoking it gets it into ones system quicker, snorting it makes for a more intense and longer lasting high. (The iguana is assuming that IV is to be avoided in this case).

Swie's first reaction would be to say 'don't do it at all', but I guess Swiy's made up his mind already so I'll spare him the usual arguments as to why to leave it alone.

So here is Swie's suggestion for staying safe if you're doing it for the first time:

Swie started heroin by snorting it too. Yes - a match-head size is about right. Swie would recommend (bearing in mind she doesn't really recommend doing it at all) doing that quantity, then waiting 15 minutes before deciding whether to do any more. Even if Swiy doesn't feel much (or anything) at this point, he SHOULDN'T increase the quantity but stick to another match-stick sized bump or less. Then wait another 15 minutes.

This might sound a bit tedious, but it is SO much better to stay safe. And it won't ruin the effects - at worst Swiy will just take a little longer to get there.

I'm sure Swiy knows how easy it is to get addicted. Avoiding use on consecutive days is a good rule. It might also be helpful to have a 'no more than once a month' rule or something similar. That's assuming you decide to do it again, which you probably will.

Swie was on/off addicted to h and other opiodes for a few years. She got clean last year more due to lack of contacts than any real desire to stop. She now manages occasional use of heroin but has to fight to keep it that way. She hates it that a drug has become the single most important focus of her life. She wants to be involved in the rest of her life, but heroin is constantly on her mind.

What I'm trying to say is that you only get one life. Drugs are inticing, opiodes especially, and heroin most especially of all. But it's not what life is about. Unfortunately it can convince you otherwise and then you're in trouble .

Sorry - I said I wouldn't go on about why not to do it. Please forgive the lecturing.

I was talking about safety when I got sidetracked. If Swiy ends up deciding to do it again, getting some rules in place is a good plan. Studies have shown that people who manage to stay free of addiction usually stick to rules. They should be aimed at:
a) Keeping tolerance down (tolerance can build up with even weekly use)
b) Not getting addicted of course (Swie has experienced mild w/d after only two days, but it's variable. Most people say 3 or more)
