Experiences - Are halucinations on MDMA possible?

Swim had a 300mg dose of MDMA over the course of around 2-3 hours the other night and was high as a kite but more than he personally likes to be, enjoying a light floaty high more than a banging intense one.

Thing that Swim found weird and something he'd never experienced before (probably because he'd never been so far gone) is that he swears he saw weird things for split seconds, such as thinking everyone in the room was the same person or that the song playing was saying his name.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Swim can relate to this and has had similar experiences with false auditory and sensory perception while heavily rolling. Swim once was very f**ked at a houseparty and decided to triple drop to see what would happen. Half an hour later he was seeing things and had massive eye wiggles, and it seemed his ears were picking up bat noises! Awesome.

SWIM has had hallucinations on MDMA. SWIM had consumed around 250mg of 500mg in that night, and SWIM thought he was seeing cars in the middle of a field and crazy stuff like that. SWIM has also seen the sky changing colour gradually to purple, along with massive eye wiggles as Lettish mentioned. It's quite good, and when SWIY does a little Ketamine toward the comedown it appears that the visuals are more prominent.

swim & company were all rolling hard off like 6-7 really good pills each, and after about 3 hours into it, they all looked at one of their friends named .....Blucecib.... and they all noticed he had glasses on. this kind:

but just as fast as they had noticed them, they were gone. It was bizarre. It was a hallucination they all had at once. They still can't quite understand it

This strangely enough is quite common from Mdma/Mda hallucinations, swim and many of his comrades have seen glasses on people who arent actually wearing them on quite a few different occasions. Swim guesses that it has something to do with how the brain interprets the shadows around the eyes which creates the glasses illusion.... just a guess though.

Yea that makes sense.

Also on the same night a similar thing happened, but swim was the only one who saw it. On one of the girls there, he saw a bunch of scars all over her face, and it creeped him out for a couple seconds, but they disappeared.

Maybe it has something to do with intensifying light wrinkles/shadows?? I'm not too sure.

The glasses was just weird because they all saw it. Even with shrooms and shit, its rare for swim to have a little phenomenon recognized by everyone participating.

SWIM frequently gets minor hallucinations on MDMA, they're like little tricks of the eye rather than full-blown visuals. Sometimes it seems like someone is standing over SWIM's shoulder when they aren't, or that there are loads of people in the room when there are only two or three, or, as someone mentioned earlier, that everyone in the room is the same person.

SWIM has also experienced a phenomenon in large enclosed spaces when rolling - while walking through, say, a concert venue, it sometimes feels that he walks through a series of doors on the way to the actual exit.

SWIM also experiences fairly vivid morphing CEV's when he smokes weed on a comedown.

haha swim took 6 one night and after alot of gum and OJ swim went to the kitchen and thought some collerfull butterfly stickers were moving around on the kitchen range swim thought this was pretty cool... the next morning swim noticed they were just lame green vine magnets LOL

Swims pupals were huge and kept "wobbling"
Music made swim trip hard when he was in a car listening to 2 12's...
Also headphones were a trip he kept thinking he was hearing people behind him though everyone else was asleep.

Hallucinations on large amounts of MDMA definately give you hallucinations... When SWIM was deep into pills and pure mdma, he would definately have some breif, yet proper hallucinations... Even after a quadruple (excuse the spelling!) drop of 4 really good pills, which have a high MDMA dosage, SWIM is likely to see some funny stuff. SWIM loves hallucinations =)

This is exactly what swim was going to say. He has never had full blown visuals on MDMA like LSD or mushrooms would produce. However, swim considers MDMA more of a psychedelic than most people would. He says that MDMA has the ability to produce intense introspective contemplation similar to other psychedelics. The big difference between MDMA and other hallucinogens is that the effects of MDMA are far more predictable than say LSD or mushrooms. Other than that, MDMA is a psychedelic in swim's book. Swim also says that the psychedelic effects are greatly enhanced if he uses marijuana in addition to MDMA.

Minor hallucinations are in deed possible on mdma, but only on much higher doses or when combined with cannabis. None of these are anywhere near lsd or shrooms but it is fun. SWIM really advises not to try high doses of mdma as it is bad for the body and the crash is horrible. If one is willing to try to, make 100% sure the ecstasy is clean and unadulterated

Swim took this from a similar thread he posted in a different forum...

At a festival last year swim had about 1/2 to 3/4 gram of mdma (too much in hindsight) over the course of 6 or 7 hours then after the raving died down went back to camp for a few joints round the dying embers of the fire.

On the way back to his tent swim got the most terrible leg cramps hes ever had in his life, was pure hell and took him almost 30 mins to get the 20 yards to his tent!

Once in his tent with a small glow light on swim started seeing stationary stars in the mesh lining that would vanish when he put his hands to them and reappear when his hand was moved away. Then it got very weird... he saw one of his best friend sat in the corner of his tent on a sandwich box rolling a joint and laughing uncontrolably at him. Swims friend in question wasn't even at the festival. Swim tried closing his eyes and turning back away but each time he looked back his friend was there again, still laughing.

Most definately a halucination!

Swim usually gets pretty weird hallucinations after popping 3-4 pills in a day. One time , she saw a group of people standing on her street having a party. She heard the talking, laughing and music.. it looked so real. Then she started walking towards the group and realized there was absolutely no one there. :/

Also, one time she was sitting on her balcony and for about a second she saw a flash of her boyfriend sitting down and passing her a smoke, then he disappeared.

Wow thats a very heavy hallucination, SWIM doesnt believe that is possible on MDMA and thinks you may have had something else with or without knowing.

MDMA has a slight affinity for 5-ht2a receptors which are believed to be involved with the action of most psychedelics. This could explain the color enhancing effects on lower doses of MDMA and the visual effects of higher doses. Keep in mind also that some pills do contain MDA which has a stronger effect on 5-ht2a receptors and therefore more visual and psychedelic activity.

SWIM has had good hallicunations on mdma before.
both all the times SWIm had an "overdose"

the first time SWIM took like 20 pills on 1 night... verry stupid! SWIm saw green cows and playing children...

and the second time SWIm took mdma crystal, SWIm was blown away and was trying to game but was "sucked into the game" sort of speak.. verry weird

Swim thinks otherwise tbh. There was around 15 people in swims social group that were there and between them they had around 1 and a half ounces (about 40 grams),although a little of it was punted on to other festival goers, most was consumed within the group within the 5 days of the festival.

Swim was the only one that halucinated and definately only had alcohol and cannabis on top of the MDMA.

Hallucinations are very possible. I remeber i took 3 bart simpson tabs and felt an extreme euphoria for 4 or 5 hours then we walked back to my friends house and got baked for awhile. After a couple spliffs and bong rips i started to see the blinds twirl and the door pushing through looking lke a moving freighttrain. At the peak of my hallucinations i saw my friend Mark's head grow horns on his forhead hahah.

Swim hallucinated a spider crawling on her friend's celling while rolling hard on e, but she had also gone two night previous to set without sleep at that point and this was sometime around 4-7am on her third sleepless night (technically it would be morning by this point). She still doesn't know if the hallucinations were a reaction from sleep deprivation or from the e she was rolling on.

Also, later into the day around 8pm during her comedown when she still had not slept, she hallucinated led zeppelin songs playing every time she heard water running. Very strange, yet she had a quite enjoyable shower due to this mind fuck.

SWIM hallucinates often on molly. Wallpaper patterns on everything, raining indoors, peoples faces changing in terrible ways. SWIM ALWAYS sees this "filter" on walls and people's skin, that is orange. When SWIM looks closer, he sees millions of small orange balls moving around like molecules.

SWIM usually sees his girlfriend's head morph into different shapes. SWIM can often see extravagent patterns on skin, and skin often looks like leather or cement or wood. With enough concentration, SWIM will see this each roll, regardless of pills or powder, or different sources. SWIM can look into the mirror and see what he looks like when he's 30 years older. *It should be noted that SWIM takes molly in the ass.

SWIM's girlfriend often picks up shit that isn't there and has auditory hallucinations, but nothing more. I do the same.

red lines or red matrix like writing against dark bushes, tribal tattos growing of friends faces, thinking your somewhere else, believing an object/someone is something completley different... its all possible folks
