Dose - Newbie Question regarding GHB

Hi All

SWIMS has recently got his hands on a tub of GHB, it was a white tub with a white waxy like substance. SWIM is sure that 2g mixed in a drink will knock me out for a good night sleep but how much would the dosage be for a euphoric like sensation as SWIM has heard can happen from GHB.

Help would be appreciated

The high from GHB use is found in the stage before sleep is induced. This is what people are usually referring to when discussing a euphoric intoxication.

As for recreational dosing, 1-1.5g taken a few times over the course of an evening will usually build to a euphoric experience. Think of it as very strong alcoholic shots, instead of a one dose high.

It should *never* be taken with alcohol as both are CNS suppressors and can be dangerous in combination.

Never drive under the influence of GHB.

If a plateau is reached where there is, what can best be described as, a "whooshy" euphoric high, then sleep is likely the next stage if one were to keep on dosing.

Contrary to media hysteria, a GHB induced sleep is *not* a deadly coma, it is simply a deep sleep.

GHB can feel like a very heavy intoxication and, if a user has fallen asleep, waking them can leave them confused and unsteady.

GHB has a short half-life and, even at a pharmacological sleep dose of 4.5g, the patient will awaken after about four hours. That is why it is dosed twice a night for them.

I do not wish to undermine your efforts but, especially when dealing with a general use thread from a newbie, such as this one, it is crucially important not to simply throw the odd bit of information in. Unnecessary warnings can be just as damaging as disregarding the necessary ones.

I totally understand in this forum, GHB isn't something you want to get wrong. I once saw someone take too much and we had to spend the night slapping him for hours to keep him awake. The fool. Though it was quite satisfying
