Blotter Paper?

For purely research purposes SWIM was looking through some pictures of LSD blotter sheets, and was wondering how the sheets are produced (just the sheets not any substances that may be on them). He/She pressumes some kind of ink is on them, is this not dangerous? would the chemist who synthesises (sp?) the chemical perforate the sheets themselves if so how? and if not where would the hypothetical chemist get pre-perforated sheets.

Just to let you know: SWIM has no intention of synthesising LSD or any other illegal substances, they are merely curious.

Size of sheets produced would depend on the size of the manufacturer. If huge machines and warehouses were involved the sheets will be very big and cut up later. If it's a home chemist making the sheets they could be as small as an a4 piece of paper. The sheets are merely absorbant paper so i would imagine they are produced in a very similar way to paper. The ink although probably not technically ediable is in such small quantities it will not have any effect on your body, it will most likely just be passed through and excreted or destroyed by stomach acid. As to your other questions im not really that sure but im sure a hypothetical chemist with the knowledge of how to sythesize LSD would know someone who could offer him absorbant paper.

yeah thank it helped a little, SWIM was really wondering how to get ahold of some blotter paper, as he/she wants to put liquid LSD that they obtained onto blotters for easier transport and more uniform doses. was suprised to see somone from the UK reply at this time in the morning, looks like SWIM's not the only insomniac tonight, heh.

Goodall - First of all, welcome to the forum. Before you continue go back and read the rules that you agreed to when you joined this forum. Self-incimination is a big no-no here; and since you just told the world (and the police officer that lives down your street) that you have some lsd you want to process for dosage is the first step to geting yourself busted and banned from this site.

To answer your question...
'Blotter paper' can purchased for legal use prints of art or plain for water colors. The ink used in blotter art printing is usually an all-organic non toxic soy/hemp based ink. Perforating machines are easily obtainable for many legal uses, including perforating paper and clothing. Hand held perf devices are usually used in smaller scale operations.

If swiy (somebody who isn't you) wanted to "dose" some liquid magic onto paper their best bet would be to get some 11#weight water color paper and a hand held perf device. Swiy would then cut out a 10cmX10cm peice of that paper and use a ruler to perf straight lines both ways at 1cm apart to make 100 1square cm sections. Swiy would then drop one drop on each square. This is the end user method to transfer liquid to paper. Of course bigger operations are done differantly, such as laying 100 sheets onto a big pyrex dish and pouring 300mg of liquid magic even across all of the sheets to absorb and dry, etc.

not really sure where i have incriminated myself, as i have stated swim has obtained some liquid lsd, not myself, i have already read the rules, and the dossage comment was more along the line of controlling doses for swim's own personal useage, and storage, as swim informed me that buying in bulk makes it very cheap

Build up SWIY's reputation by posting informative info and SWIY will find themselves rapidly elevated to Silver member status. At this point they will be able to edit posts as well as access (and post in) the various chemistry forums.

Also the SWIM thing needs to be consistent. SWIJ would say that there WERE parts of SWIY's posts that were self-incriminating, and has edited accordingly.

She notes as well that in another thread SWIY states that they "doubt they can can give out a web-address" for crackers. SWIY is correct on this assumption. Discussion of sources is only allowed in the Sources forum.

heh all of this swim swiy and swij (im presuming that means someone who isnt jatelka) stuff gets a bit confusing, i noticed you edited my posts, although i cant see exactley what was edited, would it be possible for you to pm me exactly what was edited (obviously couldnt post it in the main forum) just so i can see exactley where i may or may not have incriminated myself or swim.

the edits were actualy quite minor, which explains why swim couldnt see exactley where the posts had been edited, but swim agrees with the edits, as minor as they may be, and also doesnt expect to be followed around the forum.

just an update, swim was browsing a certain auction site hoping to buy some cheap blank blotter paper and a perferator, and was pleasantly suprised at the abundance of people selling "blotter art" swim thought that other swims may be interested in this, purely from an art or collectables point of view.

yes I know of a few websites that sell blotter art. some of the art is amazing. some sheets are expensive though. i saw a jerry garcia sheet that was like 500 dollars or something. and yes, thats a sheet with no LSD on it. just some pretty artwork. too bad I don;t have 500 dollars to spend on jerry g sheets.
