He is a big hit in California in the 1960's, yet he goes to jail, where he finds out about the wonders of cocaine. As a result, when released, he gets rich by bringing cocaine to America. The movie looks at the events that led up to the infamous Wonderland Murders in Los Angeles on July 1, 1981, as well as the investigation. What is known for sure is that four people were murdered in their Wonderland Avenue apartment, apparently as retaliation for their robbery of a notorious L.A. nightclub magnate named Eddie Nash. What is not known is what part porn star John Holmes played in the murders. The police investigation relies on the testimony of two men: Holmes himself, and a biker named David Lind who took part in a robbery of Eddie Nash's house two days earlier, and whose girlfriend, Barbara, was one of the victims. Lind claims that Holmes had to have taken part directly in the murders (and, in fact, his hand print was found at the crime scene). 28 days was one of those movies you can tell the writer (Susannah Grant) knows the subject material, maybe even up close and personal. Director (Betty Thomas) did a wonderful job of giving Gwen's (Sandra Bullock) flashbacks that fuzzy look and sound where the drunk isn't sure if they dreamed what happened or if it really did happen. This movie did not get the praise it deserved I think because the content scared too many people. Alcoholism had been steadily on the rise for more than 30 years, yet people would rather still walk around the giant pink elephant in their living room. They don't want to know much about alcoholism for fear when they look in the mirror they might just see it staring back.

Shit i just watched the made for TV movie last night about Mork and Mindy and how Robin Williams broke into the business. It showed the relationship he had with John Belushi and the coking up they did. There was a scene where Williams shows up at Belushis pad the night he od'ed. I dont know if this is true to fact or what. I didnt know that those two were that tight. Anyway it was an alright movie for tv.

Altered States and Jacob's Ladder, definitely two of the most amazing movies ever. Haha I think Altered States is what made me want to do psychedelics. Fear and Loathing is amazing too.


Trainspotting and Dazed and Confused are good as well, but not as amaaaaazing as Altered States and Jacob's Ladder.


Oh, and Kids. For weed, but also in a way for sex as a drug. Same with Ken Park. Harmony Korine is great. Bully is also good, has a lot of weed, and Telly from Kids is in it.
