xanax and bupe

My friend Dave claimed in his recovery thread that he had personally detoxed his last patient.Well a call a from his daughter has changed that and he needs some help.

Turns out Dave's son in law's friend (Manson)Is hooked on bars and for some reason increased his bupe from 2mgs to 8 mgs a day.Dave's daughter thinks Dave can walk on water(utter bullshit),but he can't refuse his little girl(now 22).

Dave thinks the bars are more of a problem than the bupe ,but is not sure.Manson claimed to be taking 5 bars a day.

Why would he increase his daily dose of bupe?Manson claimed his doc gave him more so he started taking more.Dave was under the impression that you decreased your dose(this is going on 2 years). Why would someone intentionally increase a dose of something that does not produce a high?Dave is pretty sure that there is no other opiate use so doesn't compute with him.

Dave agreed to help Manson when he said that he wanted to stop all drug use.He needs some guidance on where to start.

The only thing Dave knows is C/T and he thinks this is not possible with the bars due to possible seizures.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance
