Other - What age was swiy when he/she tried heroin?

Swim has been hearing of younger and younger people trying this really dangerous drug and swim was wondering the age that anyone you know tried it. Swim had just turned 18. She had many friends before however who are in their 30's now and first took it at 14! Swim thought this was pretty shocking but is starting to get less shocked with it all as she hears this isn't as much an uncommon thing as she hoped..

SWIM first tried it when he was 17, didnt do it again til he was 18, been addicted for about 2 years now, SWIM's 21, and he has never IV'd so whether you want to consider SWIM a true junkie or not is up to your perspective. SWIM doesnt really consider himself one (not that SWIM thinks he could never go to that level, but so far he has been able to keep his life in check) and is glad he didnt get into drugs at quite that young an age, SWIM has met a 13 year old who learned how to shoot up from her father (a neighbor of SWIM's). The father had gotten into using when his wife died, then he died. His daughter is now 14 years old, a complete orphan with no close living relatives, and completely addicted to dope. it makes SWIM want to cry almost.

Swims first drug was heroine at the age of 13.. All other drugs were quickly followed in the same year swim tried pretty much everything...

Geez that is young. SWIM is glad that SWIM has been lucky enough to make it to the ripe old age of 25 before becoming a full time user. SWIM tried it a few times in her early 20's and always knew for some reason that she would get into it at some point.
SWIM feels lucky because there has been some time in her life when she could actually purchase 'stuff' or she may have nothing and be living on a mattress in the corner.
Also SWIM was always into other drugs so its a miracle that she lasted that long.

Swim can relate to a lot that swimsmogadon says. Swim also had (years before first taking H) that "feeling" that she would get into it later on in her life. Swim also was taking a lot of other drugs before finally finding this one.

Swim aswell as trying it at the same age as swijunkhead23 wen through pretty much the same process, slowley moving up the drugs until heroin.

It sickens swim to think of the poor people in this world that are brought into the world like that. They are really not given much of a chance at all of having a happy life. your childhood is meant to be your happy and care free years and having one like that is just horrible. Poor girl

SWIMs first drug WAS heroin (smoked), at 13. Twice, but didnt really fell in love. No progress. She just found heroin again years after, at 18, through a user boyfriend and her first dose since was mainlined.Still so it is.
SWIM did also coke (IV) and speedball (IV of course too).
Other that that, and AFTER, she tried DXM (which she loves but finds too exhausting) and Pot/Hash/Ecstasy (which don't do shit to her).

SWIM has done numerous drugs since the age of 12. She always wanted to try heroin and finally got the chance when she was 14 (it was the beginning of freshman year). The first time she injected it and continued to do it that way. Tried snorting it a few times but it wasn't even worth the damage done to SWIM's nose. Honestly, not sure if SWIM snorted it the first time if she would have ever used again. Very weak compared to shooting and far to expensive for the common joe.

SWIM was 16-17 (maybe it was the late years of age 16 & then into age 17)

SWIM has only IV'ed in 1 H session of a day & has never used that method since then & threw all his rigs away after that because he eventually started missing the veins that day which resulted into swelling/bubbling up of the skin. He was also using Black Tar at the time which made it even worse.

Since then, SWIM has found better H connections for great quality tan powder & has been snorting mostly & smoking here and there to mix it up. But, SWIM has recently been wanting to go pick up some syringes to get that rush. SWIM's been using off & on for several years & still has not become addicted...which is why SWIM fears for using the IV b/c he doesn't want that use to result in only interest in IV'ing into addiction.

Its funny how different peoples natural progressions are. All down to the area u live in and the drugs that surround u at one time I guess.

Swim first tried Heroin at 37 years of age can you believe, but he's been a heavy Coke snorter for over a decade.

The quality of Coke in London now is terrible so Swim decided to try his hand at this after a few beers as he craves for some sort of stimulant when drinking.

Crack's never really done anythin for mickey bee tho, which is strange cos all his mates get high as a kite and love it. Swim think's this is a good thing.

SWIM was 16, she smoked cannabis for 2 or 3 months first and then tried heroin. SWIM felt hooked mentally from the first smoke, she really loved it, the needle soon followed and she's had almost 25 years of an on and off relationship with it. Sometimes it's under control and sometimes it isn't, at the moment she uses only at weekends so classes this as an under control period

as it seems to be the avarage so far, swim was also 18. I wonder if that has anything to do with the whole your an adult now you can do whatever you want and its your responsibility thing. Maybe swimmers want to test their limits at that age?
just an idea.

anyway also as mentioned by others, swim had always been into drugs, and she went through a handful of addictions before venturing off to the land of H, and she too had that wierd foretelling feeling, but at a very young age when she also said she would never do that. strange that others have had that too.

she also thinks its strange how many people she has heard of that go strait from weed to heroin.

Swim is also part of another fast growing trend- started off becoming addicted to pain pills like oxycodone and eventually switch to H because its cheaper, then switch to the needle for the rush.
Swims prediction is that the reason we are seeing younger and younger people trying herion is for the same reason, pills are everywhere and teens are becoming addicted to them. Once it becomes too expensive, they switch. Yay swims a statistic! <---sarcasm

SWIM started down the classic path of hash(no buds at the time)-speed-acid-ecstacy-cocaine-crack-heroin! talk about stereotypes!! SWIM started hash and speed quite early at 11/12 then acid at 13!! unthinkable to SWIM now as a 28 year old to think of a 13 year old on acid (though they are having children these days, Alfie Patten)!! ecstacy at 14/15 and coke the same time, SWIM moved to crack at 16 and heroin came a week later and SWIM went head first into addiction and has been ever since!! with the odd time off of course...its shit. SWIM says addiction is no fun ay?? SWIM thinks it is a waste of life. sure it can teach SWIY alot, but in the end SWIM coulda done alot more with his youth than cane lots of drugs!!
