No More Oxy left
SWIM has been taking 40mg of oxy for 2 weeks now tapered down from 160mg. Was taking 160 for 18 months. SWIM has no O's left just T3's. What can SWIM do to deal with the withdraw. SWIM is freaking out and is unable to get oxy for a few days (3).

Re: No More Oxy left
It won't kill SWIY, it will be bad, perhaps, but not fatal. Read a few of the threads on here about people who have kicked the oxies and other shit. There is also info around the forum on various techniques, herbs, strategies etc to help ease the WD's...
And in a few days, why not leave the Oxies alone, do not collect a new supply, and try to avoid ever feeling this way again? |

Re: No More Oxy left
Well, SWIM guesses the good news here is that SWIY tapered down so that the withdrawals will be 1/4 of what they would have been. Really, SWIY can get throught this. What seems like forever will pass quicker than SWIY thinks. Take hot baths, that helps to relax and distract. Do the T3's help? SWIM doesn't know what those are. Freaking out definitely makes it worse, although SWIM knows how hard it is not to. SWIM is tapering, and sometimes when the withdrawals rev up SWIM begins to trip out a little which seems to add to the condition. As soon as SWIM accepts it and realizes there is nothing she can do about the way her body feels at the moment, it seems easier. SWIM knows it is hard, keep reading on here. There are many tips on opiate withdrawal.

Re: No More Oxy left
Tylenol 3 should help a bit but don't over do paracetamol !! Use the CWE (cold water extraction) It can easily be found on this forum, use the search engine..

Re: No More Oxy left
SWIM has heard multiple success stories involving Ultram for oxy withdrawal. Ultram could be obtained online overnight.

Re: No More Oxy left
In my friend Daves opinion if you can manage it. Quit now (easier said than done),but read Patient X's story,or descent into oblivion. Both of these members basically quit cold with minor comfort meds.It sucks but those guys are living proof it can be done.Dave can say after not quite 2 months he feels reborn.(And it feels good).

Re: No More Oxy left
Why doesn't SWI-kceior do a CWE? It's fairly simple to do and all SWIY needs is some OTC painkillers containing codeine (suggests co-codymol or nurofen). If SWIY hasn't done one before UTFSE do find out how to do it. Codeine is in the same group as Oxycodone - only it's a much more mild opiate. Apparently after a person takes codeine it converts into morphine in the person's system so it should provide some relief from w/d. SWIM came off heroin in December using morphine at first, but having got a bit silly with the morphine and caning it to try and get high she had to go through w/d. It was fairly unpleasant. SWIM did CWE on some tablets she was able to get hold of that had 10mgs of dihydrocodeine and 500mgs paracetamol. The paracetamol is what can kill you or seriously damage your liver so it's important to do a CWE, but anybody can do it - it's so simple. The codeine should help a bit. Don't expect anything amazing - SWIY certainly won't get high off it if SWIY has an addiction to a stronger opiate like Oxy's but even coming off heroin and morphine SWIM found that a little codeine was better than nothing.

Re: No More Oxy left
Glad to hear the worst is over for SWIY. Not too much helps when in withdrawal. Is SWIoxy sleeping better yet? Sleeping helps immensely when trying to heal from anything at all. Hopefully SWIY'S appetite will also get better.

Re: No More Oxy left
SWIM Got some percocet to keep him level until he can get some time off work. SWIM needs his job and can't get the time off until spring. Maybe the CWE is a good idea. Where SWIM lives you can get 5mgCDN/250mgASA/10mgCAF over the counter. Looks like SWIM will reborn in the spring It Will be SWIM's 3rd shot at it SWIM's confidante that it will stick this time
