Drug info - high tolerance from oxycodone

When swim started taking opiates, she startet right with oxycodone and now uses about 60mg a dat. Is is true then that no other opiates will be able to get swim besides heroin and morphine?

no that is not true at all. there are plenty of other opiates that are stronger than oxycodone, and its also all about doesage. Oxymorphone, and buprenorphine are both stronger than morphine, and also stronger than oxycodone. Hydromorphone will also get swiy high no problem. Hydrocodone probably wont, but that is about the weakest opiate there is, and if swiy really wanted, then it would be possible, it would just take alot.
If swiy has the right dose (doses differ widely from one drug to another), at only 60 mg oxycodone a day, it would not be difficult to get high, so dont go switching to heroin now!

Swim would reccomend that swiy doesnt take painkillers everyday though. Be careful!

Thanks for your reply. What is hydromorphone. Is it used for medicinal purposes, where would SWIM find this opiate?

Use the forum search engine before asking questions which would take a simple search to answer. Also do NOT ask for sources, that is against the rules! Hydromorphone, in addition to all other opiate painkillers, is available via prescription only in the united states.

Hydromorphone is only available by perscription. As an analgesic it's roughly 3 times stronger than diacetylmorphine (heroin). Though swim says the highs between the two are comparable they are not the same, the high from heroin is more enjoyable but the high from hydromorphone is still pretty fantastic. It's still stronger than oxycontin or morphine and produces less nausea.

60mg isn't especially high. Swim having NEVER tried opiates before quickly found he needed 80-120mg to get Swim happy.

You can get the same effect from other opiates by doing doses that are equivalent to 60mg oxycodone, though its not an exact science.

You say you do it daily. Daily usage = addiction. However it shouldn't be too hard to get down off 60mg per day of oxycodone if you wanted.

Oxymorphone and Hydromorphone are two different compounds though their effects are not far apart. 60 mg is not a very high tolerance so swim suggest either stick to the oxy but put some time between doses or switch to the most accesible alternative.

So is swiy saying that oxymorphone is stronger than heroin, because swim has read that oxymorph is stronger than hydromorph??

In theory oxymorph is a very slightly stronger opiate than hydromorph although consider that the bio-availability and half life of oxymorphone are much lower than hydromorphone so higher doses of oxymorphone must be taken to reach the same effects.
