freebase salt with carrot juice
a good friend was talking to swim explaining that mescaline is not water soluible in its freebase form. He went on to explian that is why it is improtant to add an acid lime juice vinegar ect. swim's question is: would it be possible or practical to add an alkaline such as carrot juice to the freshly brewed tea for the purposes of changing the salt back to a freebase. The thought here is after adding the alkaline juice placing the tea in the refrigerater to cool and collecting what usually seems like a freebase salt which often collects at the bottom of the pan. swim has nothing scientific to go on this is just a hypothesis. any answers would be greatly appricited

Re: freebase salt with carrot juice
swim doubts the carrot juice would raise the pH high enough to cause the mescaline to precipitate out as the freebase, and even if it did, it would be very difficult to seperate it from the juice without using a nonpolar solvent like xyelene or the like
