Storing potent Research Chemicals

How does SWIY store their RC's?

SWIM uses plastic zip-lock bags but feels its hard to get the RC out and alot sticks to the sides. Do you think it would be better to just keep them in wraps? Sorry if this seems like a silly question.

Thanks.

Re: Storing potent RC's

Zip lock bags will help retain dryness/moisture (whichever desired) .
It will also prevent it from contact with oxygen, Co2, O2 or any other atmosphere gasses.
These can all have an effect in the longevity of RC's.
Fat Dave was told that stored in an airtight environment and out of light, Methylone for example will retain its potency for up to 2 years. Pretty much the same as most chemicals such as cleaning products.

Wraps, especialy paper will absorb (or attract) moisture depending on the environment held in. The RC substance will also take on the dye from the paper - if colured paper is used. This could decrease the potency.

Dave said remember, any substance is degrading day by day. Airtight plastic bags kept in the dark are the best way to avoid this.
There isnt a great you can do about it sticking to the bag other than rubbing the sides together towards the end of the supply - perish the thought.

Hope Dave helped.

Re: Storing potent RC's

SWIM uses zip bags, well preserved from extreme conditions of light, temperature and moisture.

That should be enough to have them in perfect shape for a very long time, even years depending on the chemical.

Re: Storing potent RC's

SWIM was of the impression that phenethylamine-based ketones such as methylone or butylone were quite stable, as is MDMA. But don't quote SWIM on that. However, SWIM has enjoyed methylone that was over 2 years old and only stored in a an airtight plastic bag in an envelope at room temp.
