Oral use - Cow producing milk containing THC?

A while back swim worked with with a man from Mexico named Javier. Javier was a very respectable person who befriended swim. He was very serious and genuine about his job and life in general. Javier did not use marijuana or any other drugs, except for an occasional beer here and there.

Javier claimed that when he lived in Mexico he worked on a farm. He said that it was usual for farmers to have excess marijuana and so they would feed it to the cows. He said that the milk that the cows produced contained THC and if ingested would make him very stoned. Swim had a hard time believing this. Javier had no reason to lie to swim, and he never lied about anything else. He does not use marijuana anymore, and was not trying to "impress" swim by bragging about using marijuana.

It kind of makes sense seeing as THC is fat soluble and cow's milk contains a high percentage of fat. However swim has not heard this before and he considers himself very educated on the subject of marijuana. Has anybody else ever heard anything like this before? Swim has googled this topic to no avail.

Any personal anecdotes or scientific reasoning on why this would or would not be true are welcome.

Well the milk would definately contain THC metabolites but I don't know if any unmetabolised THC would make it into the cows milk. It's certainly possible if they were fed enough cannabis that was grown for smoking.
And I don't know anything about a cows metabolism but perhaps some of the metabolites they produce from the THC could also be psychoactive. Interesting stuff...

Hmmm. Cows have 4 stomachs to digest seemingly indigestible food, which may break down the THC or it may just all get absorbed better. Quite interested if there is anyone that will actually be able to give an answer.
