Methadone 2 Suboxone is it a good switch?

Hi. Swim has been on methadone maitnence for around 4-5 months now. Swim likes it but is concerned, to say the least, about getting up to the clinic every morning. the situation might be changing and that would make it hard to get up to the clinic. swim was thinkin about switching from the meth. to the suboxone. swim was wondering: do you havta detox completely from the methadone before goin on the suboxone or do they just switch u to the matching dose on suboxone. obviously all opiates need to be out of your system before administering the suboxone but do you have to detox to 0 mg before the switch. swim is currently on 65mg methadone. swims was thinking of going down on his dose to maybe like 30mg then switching. has any other swimmerz had similar experience. will it be hard to switch? any advice or experience would be greatly helpful.
