Snorting - Newbie Q: Peep keeps nodding off from..

Little Bo Peep is nodding off from 60mg of roxycodone(snorted) and one valium(oral) (but spread out over a period of 6 hours). Did she take too much? She has built up a tolerance over that past few months... but does nodding out mean she took to much? She is afraid to go to sleep but she is soo tired. helpp she is freaking out a little.

Nodding off does not mean that SWIY took too much. This is just a sign of being under the influence of opiates. How long has it been since SWIY took the Roxycodone?

It had been probably an hour since Peep took the opiates when she wrote that. But she is good now, just wanted to know what nodding off meant, it has never really happened before because she always kept it one pill a day, but her tolerance is building up so she took 2.

Increasing the dose, and taking valium, would definitely make you more sleepy. Adding to that SWIY may have just been naturally tired anyway, which the drugs just added to.

Probably not to dangerous, "the nod" is often the point of intoxication desired by opiate users. If you've got any friends you could have come and check on you, call them up, have them hang out and make sure your still breathing. You can also set your alarm clock for an hour or two, and make it loud enough to get you up. Just remember, if it doesn't wake you (not necessarily because your dead, just REALLY high), if the neighbor's here it, they may get concerned or pissed and call the cops.

Nobody's been paying attention their pulse around the point where your at, and finding that it usually slows down quite a bit, with a drop in pressure. The first time, this was worrisome, but after a few experiments, nobody is comfortable with what their body does. If a person really enjoys opiates, a similar procedure is a good idea. By keeping tabs on your body, you get comfortable with how things interact with it and you'll be more likely to notice when something really is wrong. Like one time nobody notice their breathing dropped along with their pulse, decided that it was coffee time, not sleeping alone time.

Drinking coffee is a reasonably safe way of keeping awake, as long as you stop consuming more opiates at this point. Not that it sounds like you would, but the coffee can keep your heart going past the point of OD, but then wear off before the opiates drop to safe level, this is what makes "speedballs" dangerous. But if you're done for the day, a cup or two would be fine.

This is marginally off topic, but SWIM has often wondered - does that mean that speedballing would be safer if more cocaine was taken untill the heroin had worn off? And in this case it would be advisable to keep drinking coffee untill the roxycodone/valium had worn off?

This is where viscous cycles start. Too much speed ball, take more cocaine, come down gets harsh, take some more downer to calm things, things get too calm, little stimulant to pep you up. You can see the potential of this sort of thing for going bad.

From the doses described and nobody's not-a-doctor-opinion, you're not likely to be in danger, so if you drink some coffee because a nap is inconvenient, that's one thing, but if you're pulse and breathing are getting dangerously shallow, it's time to go to see the doctor.

Consider that if you drink coffee for the next few hours, it's going to effect your sleep, can you handle that, or are you going to want to take some downers later to make sure you sleep? Are those going to make you wake up groggy in the morning? Wash, rinse, and repeat. Few weeks later and you're an addict.

Nobody doesn't do speedballs (or coke for that matter) but has seen most of the ranking folks here, and elsewhere in the drug world, make pretty strong warnings against them at all costs. Nobody suspects that your solution is just as problematic as taking them in the first place.
