Re: whats changed since the early 90s

a little trick that swim picked up about the knowing the quality of the chemical or substance in question for MDMA and ecstasy tablets...

MDMA powder is most of the time telling the truth, it may be a poor quality MDMA (70-85%) but it is most of the times MDMA.

Ecstasy pills are normally a mix, look at all the evidence of pill test sites, there is hardly ever a pill that is just MDMA or an MDxx. Pills can hide things, they could be low-dose, mixed with another fun stimulant, downer, dissociative or childrens tylenol (cherry flavored) or basically anything really.

swim prefers to stay away from pills unless he knows the supplier/presser.

Re: Ecstasy experiences

Umm... I dont think so. MDMA is MDMA. Usually made from sassafras oil, but Shulgin has come up with various other methods (ten or so I think) to create MDMA.

What banned ingredients are you talking about?

If this is true then why is it still possible to obtain almost pure crystal MDMA? The government have banned many drugs and made many chemicals illegal, but with the right connections these things are still obtainable.

It is easy to pass off any pills as anything you want, not so easy with crystal MDMA. You can also source pills with little to no trouble as they are quite common but crystal MDMA is fairly rare, and if you have a connection it tends to be good.

Would you be able to explain how the duration of the effects in MDMA pills has been shortened without changing the active chemical itself? It isn't possible to alter the half-life as far as I'm aware.

Little fishy was able to obtain decent pills with a minimum content of at least 100mg MDMA up until 2006 when before he first started using clean crystal MDMA. He tried some pills on about 3 occasions, once in 2007 and twice in 2008 and confirmed the two entirely different batches in 2008 were mCPP. However, I think the main reason why Piperazines have been substituted for MDMA by unscrupulous dealers is because they were very easily obtainable and still are just sold under the 'not for human consumption' rule to bypass the legal grey area (prescription only medicines) currently covering them in the UK.

No. but SWIM was referring to a long time back like 92/93 onwards. Maybe he should have been clearer on this.
