Comparison - JWH-018 and THC (in the form of marinol)

I apologise for adding yet another thread relating to smoking blends, but something has peaked my curiosity.

Many people report THC on it's own (marinol) to be less enjoyable than actual cannabis, due to the lack of synergy with the other chemicals. SWIM considers the legal smoking blends to be lesser than cannabis (though has never tried marinol), and like marinol these only contain one active ingredient, JWH-018 (even if there is more, I think it could be unaminously agreed that the makeup of cannabis is almost definitely going to be more complex).

So, I would be interested in a comparison between the two on a more specific chemical level. Are the smoking blends (or prefferably pure JWH-018) more similar to marinol than to cannabis, for the reason of their simplicity?

Sorry if this would be better in the RC section. The smoking blend/JWH-018 threads are split between the two different locations at the minute...
