Combinations - Weed and LSD

I had a dream I smoked weed and then took some LSD, it was crazy! And I havent taken LSD before, so I have nothing to judge it against. What do you think would happen if someone took LSD after smoking weed? Would it affect the effects of either?

Also, it is generally recommended to smoke weed in the "afterglow?" of a trip?
How about if the user starts going on a bad trip?

Swim has never taken LSD, he does, however, have far too much free time to browse through the depths of erowid experience reports, so he can pass on knowledge from that... Swim has read that weed dulls the LSD experience, making it less clear headed and more fuzzy (probably adding to the "mindfuck" aspect of hardcore psychedelics).

Swim thinks it would be fine and probably fun and beneficial to smoke weed in the afterglow of a trip, or maybe even as one's coming down from the more intense portions of the trip.

If the user is beginning a bad trip... There's really no hard and fast rule for that. For swim, weed significantly increases swims likelihood of freaking the fuck out, but some are very chilled out by smoking weed. It's really a person to person type thing.

Again, swim isn't speaking from personal experience, he's just passing along information. Also, generally speaking, (though this could be a personal philosophy) swim wouldn't advise mixing any 2 substances when it's swiys first time with either of them. Not because of any danger (though that is certainly always a concern) but swim just likes to experience a chemical for that chemical alone, at least the first few times, before tossing it into some wild cocktail.

based on swim's, weed and lsd go so well together that he can't imagine dosing and not smoking. as for a starting a bad trip, swim finds that lighting a joint and throwing on some dead always helps to lighten the mood!

From experiences my friends had with LSD, a combo of marijuana is not biggy, from their opinion. LSD is a pretty serious drug alone. So if you haven't taken it, I would suggest you find an alternative, such as shrooms or peyote. They all offer completely different trips yet have similarities.

Having known many friends who have taken LSD (fry, is what we used to call it). THey all smoked during and after their trip. What kind of LSD was in your dream? Blotter, Gel, Liquid?

As for a possibility of a bad trip, it can happen and you have to be prepared for how your mind reacts to the LSD. So if you do have a bad trip, I would strongly suggest getting away from other people and surround yourself with some calm settings and some tunes to relax and chill.

also, pot can help to lead to a bad trip by increasing anxiety. be careful mixing the two if swiy isn't having such a good time

SWIM disagrees with this. Smoking weed in the afterglow of things like MDMA and LSD will bring back the trip, or prolong it. Weed will usually always add to the trip, so if one smokes weed right at the beginning, it will help the user to come up, if one smokes during the high, it will make the trip more powerful, if one smokes during the comedown, it will prolong the lingering feeling or even bring back some of the high. This is from SWIMs experience and SWIMs friends experience. This works even hours after the comedown, SWIM and his friend went to a rave, took some MDMA, got home at 5/6, went to bed and slept a few hours, got up, had a spliff at around 10/11 and both of them were rushing and needed to sit down. Similarly, SWIM had a spliff a few hours after a LSD trip and SWIM got the weird acid belly and felt a bit weird.
