adderall rx

is it really that easy to get a legit rx for adderall? swim doesnt like the idea of obtaining it on the streets, and thinks it can be hard to find sometimes. what are some stories youve heard of people telling doctors to get rx;s?

Re: adderall rx

I know some freinds of mine have had to go through long processes to get it via the ADD route. I would suggest looking up idiopathic hyposomulance..... you have trouble staying up through the day and your sleep spells come on long and slow. most docs wont order the sleep test and will just give you a low mil script... butter him up from there

Re: adderall rx

Nobody doesn't see the harm in going to your doctor and saying "I've been given some adderall by friends a few times when I was working on my finals, and it worked incredibly well. I could see the benefits of having this on a regular, legal basis. Would it be possible to get a prescription?" With the way they advertise drugs on TV "ask your doctor about $%^#" it hardly seems out of place to be blunt.

Faking a sleep disorder is going to be a lot harder to pull off if they decide to run tests. Sleep disorders are caused by abnormal brainwave patterns and they can see yes or no that you have one. Frankly if nobody was a doctor and someone came in with this sort of complaint they'd hear "well there's this thing called coffee"

Yeah if you had narcolepsy you'd probably be diagonised with it very early as it is very noticable, you literally fall asleep during anything like talking, driving, sex, etc. ADHD is very easy to get scripts for in the good ol' US. They may put you on ritalin first, just tell them it has some bad side effects and you have read about a medication called Adderall and tell them you want to try it. Best thing is to be honest as much as possible with a doctor.

Re: adderall rx

potter I have not been on the forum long but it seems like you got some pretty damn good advice and info... good point about the sleep thing and you are probably right about just being blunt. If it ended up not working on that path you could try the alternative on another white coat.

Narcolepsy is caused by a chemical in your body called Orexin. Only a small small percentage of people who actually do have narcolepsy would fall asleep while doing some of the activities that hippie mentioned. Most narcoleptics tend to have episodes while being a passenger in a car or while reading or watching tv....... and in some cases while lubing a truck up....... not that I have had personal experiences with that one LOL

Those were examples, I do not have personal experience with the disorder so please forgive me. But even your examples would easily point to something wrong while ADHD is not very observable and doctors typically rely on a patient's description.
