Drug tests & Synthetic Cannabinoid / Spice

SWIM gets hair tested about once a month by his dad..who is a little anal...is it possible for Spice to show up on a drug test?..the panal is pretty exptensive..cuz salvia showed up as an "illicit substance"..is it at all possible or is SWIM safe?

also, SWIM was wondering if there are any sites that ship it to the US..or if theres any way to get it shipped to a mailing box in like tijauana, mexico, and pick it up from there..cuz swim lives like 2 hours away from TJ..however direct shipping to the US would be even better!

There is not really much experience with spice and drug testing, but the chance seems slim to me.

Spice is not tested as swia did not think it was classed like weed is.

Swim knows an aeroplane pilot who smokes spice on a regular basis, not while flying but at home to relax. He has never tested positive to anything like weed.
But swim wonders why a 19 year old would let his Dad test him for drugs, thats a major breach of trust. Swim should consider moving out.

SWIM lets dad drug test him because SWIMS dad pays for car and college. SWIM has also been caught numourous times for drugs, and does not consider it a breach of trust because SWIMS dad does have a reason to suspect him.

Spice'd never show up on a drugs test!
There's no standard test for "drugs" you know, you have to be testing for specific metabolites. I'd say swiy best to stick to obscure ethnobioticals until swiy can stand up to your dad. Drug testing your 19 y/o son is not cool.

No standard urinalysis test will pick up spice. Swim goes to his drug tests high all the time. They would need gc/ms to even begin to try to see that shit and theres just no way any probation/job drug test will find it swim is fine.

The best by far is Spice Diamond but this shit is flying off shelves because they recently discovered whats in it. Should be impossible to find soon but Swim knows that Spike99 can still be had.

since its been a couple months since Spice has been banned. Would it be possible now for the drug testing companies to add the active ingredients in spice to their list of drugs to test for?

Spice will not show up on a field test like the kind that Police carry to identify substances but it is now testable in the lab, it will show up as THC, although it is a false positive like poppies showing up as opiates it will still show, The active ingredient in spice is now a class 1 controlled substance. Swim got an email at work from the employer (us government) showing large shipments of spice being confiscated and explaining that if swim pops positive (even a false positive) swim will be dealt with as if it were Marijuana.

What exactly is the active ingredient in spice that they claim to be able to test for? The DEA claims there is something like 5 cannabinoids in spice. Some of the chemicals like jwh-xxx are not structurally related to THC at all. They won't cause a false positive for THC. None of the federally certified labs that swim has seen claim to be able to test for these chemicals specifically.

Swim is not convinced. More info please.

HU-210 is the one JWH-018 isnt even suspect as of yet. Even Wikipedia has info on seizures. I dont have enough posts to post a link but google HU-210

Analysis has shown the spice blends are mainly comprised of CP47,497. Some packets were shown to contain small amounts of JWH-018, but not others, and I am sure I have read an analysis that proves that HU-210 isn't present.

I don't really trust what the US government might claim about spice and drugs tests, because they seem to be name-dropping HU-210 quite a lot which still hasn't been proven to be present in any of the blends as far as I know. I also haven't seen any evidence that CP47,497 will cause a false positive for THC - and I would doubt that it would (though as I said I have no definite evidence to prove this), and I have heard many reports of regular Spice users passing drug tests (indeed, quite a common reason for using Spice is because regular drug tests have to be taken). JWH-xxx won't cause a false positive either. Poppies don't really cause a false positive for opiates, because they are actually opiates, therefore it is a true positive.


I've posted this table that I cut out of the Freiburg analysis that Alfa posted a while ago in a few other places, but I might as well post it again to save people asking where I got my information:

Compounds 1 and 2 are compounds relating to CP47,497 (which is 4), compound 3 is JWH-018 and compound 6 is Oleamide. I've attached the full thing as well if anyone's interested.

can you ask your friend what type of drug test he is given on probation along with how often he smokes these blends as well as his wieght?

swim has not smoked cannabis for over 45 days
swim has smoked spice heavily for the last 3 weeks 2-3 grams per day
swim got tested by probation and came up dirty for thc
either the thc is still in from the cannabis 45 days ago or the spice made it positive
i have a feeling that the spice made it dirty
there wasnt even a faint line on the thc strip that would indicate decreased amounts of thc

SWIM also know someone got the same problem. But it wasn´t the Spice. First of all SWIM was also thinking it could be a cannabinoid, so similar in structure to THC that it may found in a THC test. But later SWIM found out the guy used a bong to smoke Spice and of course he also had used the bong for smoking regular pot/hash. The bong was several times cleaned and the last THC consume through the bong was about 5 months ago.
So SWIY should check how high the THC levels are, if they are very low, it could have been the rests in the bong or pipe.
Also, if SWIY was a very very strong smoker it could be possible that it´s still in there, even after 45 days.
