acetaminophen causing stomach hemmoraging?

My dog started dosing on Vikadin recently, and has been complaining about stomach pains and lack of appetite. One night it took about 10 5 and 7.5 viks chewed, and in the morning it vomited blood. Is this a common side effect, and could my dogs liver be shot? On a side note a few weeks ago my dog was prescribed with gastritus and it has been taking pepcid in the morning.
