Experiences - Killing time while high.

SWIM has had very few experiences with this type of hardcore stimulant, but enough to know that they keep one awake for an unnaturally long period of time. Luckily for her, it was always at a massive party with many other people around to keep her entertained. She never thought about what it would feel like to stay up for days and days.

The question here is: what does one DO during all that time they are awake and unable to go to sleep? How does one stay occupied? SWIM kind of has this mental picture in her head of someone playing solitaire in their closet at 4:00 am, but she's sure that isn't the case. Are there activities that are simply so wonderful when tweaked that they can be done for hours on end without any pragmatic thought process occuring? Or is it more like a constant search for something to keep one's attention?

A really good explanation for this question has yet to be received from anyone...

Swim absolutely loves writing while speeding, and in the period of insomnia that follows, when he's sober but still can't really sleep. He likes (oddly enough) just sitting down and thinking, because he gets so involved in thought that he doesn't notice that he's just sitting or that hours have passed. He absolutely LOVES just listening to music (fast music and pumpup music, techno, rap etc.... most of which he doesn't usually listen to), he also finds that he paces and just walks around and moves.

Honestly though you don't really have to have a plan of things to do because swiy will either A) think of things to do and/or B) be too busy pacing and shaking around high as a kite to even care.

Also swim loves to talk on aim (not the phone because he finds he doesn't really listen to what people are saying and just TALKS right over them), but when he's coming down he gives his friends in different time zones calls just because they tend to be the only people still awake when he's crashing. During this phase the sun comes up and swiy can hear the birds start singing for the first time all day, if swiys outside or cracks a window. It's amazing and cathartic to party your ass off and then see the sunrise.

SWIM loves spending all day/night speeding and searching for/ watching hardcore internet porn.
SWIM does not even care for porn when sober or when on a downer/ narcotic etc..

Nothing keeps SWIM's attention in a fun way except for the porn! I know, SWIM is very very sick.

Reading and writing are by far swims favorite past time activities while speeding. He is generally a slow reader, but that is not the case under the influence. He also notes a dramatic climb the the amount of writing he is able to complete.

His friends stay up all night and hold epic ping pong tournaments in his garage, talking trash all night long.

You'll find your normal interests and hobbies are much more entertaining with a little help from vitiman A.

hahahaha swim forgot about speed-porn... he inevitably ends up on some seedier internet sites later in the night, without fail... soooo many hours wasted, but it's probably worth it.

SWIY doesn't know but maybe amp's seemingly miraculous ability to make anything entertaining including farting alone in a dark room helps a little bit

SWIM finds it rather easy to find something to do on it. if it's late at night and he's experiencing amphetamine-induced insomnia, SWIM usually kills time on the internet, especially if someone's online on instant messanger. talking on the phone, texting - anything social is a must for SWIM, even if it's late at night. and if you smoke, cigarettes are a must too lol.

a cig while speeding is just perfect. Almost as good as with a drank. Instruments are always fun too. Swim tries to not go on a binge, so when he's up in the middle of the night, he's just trying to find a way to fall asleep. Of course none work....

benzodiazepines might help with that. but make sure the amphetamine's been worn off for awhile before you take it (you know, the "dangerous to mix uppers and downers" thing). a little diazepam did wonders for SWIM personally, but be cautious.

Closet solitaire at 4 am is always a possibility with amphetamines. SWIM prefers computer tweaking, which encompasses a wide variety of activities including upgrading her system, learning new software, posting ad-nauseum on various forums/blogs/etc, and researching completely pointless subjects (Solitaire hadn't crossed her mind till now). She also likes to clean her house, smoke cigarettes, and go shopping. In other words, SWIM likes to do the things lots of normal people like to do... but she likes to do them faster, with more determination. D

swim used to love driving while she was speeding, especially out in the country like in the middle of summer just listening to music. (this was when gas wasnt really an issue). also when speeding, swim found everything interesting- it wasnt really an issue trying to find something to do, more like swim wanted to do everything. working on photoshop was amazing as well, since the amph would give her the ability/ desire to work for hours on photoshop.

sometimes the cat needs something to do but isn't sure what it is and this can cause agitation and a tendency to chase her own tail. At this point its good to go outside and brave the rest of the human race. Kitty does not get paranoid per se, in that she knows that people are too enmeshed in their own worries/happiness/boredom or whatever to bother having a go, she just feels social phobic (ie the opposite of hypersocial at the beginning of the staying up period...)and the only way to conquer this is to do something really normal like wandering around charity shops or thrift shops as those of you in America would say...Kitty enjoys hunting for cheap clothes anyway and it gives something for her to focus her attention other than feeling angsty and faint and self conscious...
And frankly, the sun isn't out often enough in this rainy old island so you need to take advantage when it is...

While speeding, SWIM loves to play video games, talk to friends/people over the internet on ventrilo, read, and listen to music. Usually SWIM listens to music within the first 15 minutes when it sounds a lot different then usual.

SWIM is going to have to stop tweaker-shopping, especially at Costco, where one can easily walk out the door with 48 rolls of toilet paper, a case of Chef Boyardee ravioli, a few dozen pens, and a flat-screen television. SWIM is, however, grateful for the generous return policy.

When swim used to dab into stimulants he would love to write poetry and stories. The concentration would allow swim to really dive into an idea and run with it. swim also liked to read philosophy and politics while speeding as it allowed him once again to really get into the topics and think critically once he gets over the anxiety he has he might revisit the fast lane.

SWIM spends a lot of time here for sure! Once she found this, the other sites and places weren't interesting. Once she's posted, read and done all here, she masturbates, smokes, cleans a bit, plays with the dog, masturbates again, comes back to DF, smokes.....
SWIM isn't much on going out in public, she prefers to tweak at home, she is against driving while on most substances and has made her home a great place to be!
